Yikes I thought the shakes were super sweet before surgery wonder how they’ll taste in a couple days

2 days until surgery super excited!!! Is there anything anyone had wished they had done surgery. Like anything they brought to the hospital or had ready for when they got home? I stacked all the water high enough so I wouldn’t have to be d over. I have my kiddos diaper changing stuff next to the couch since I won’t be able to lift him. Made all the cream soups froze them in ice cube trays (each slot is an ounce) for easy accessibility. Was just wondering if there is anything else I could do.

I’m scheduled for a gastric sleeve December 11th. The biggest thing I’m freaked out about is how many people are saying they have had dry heaves or have been throwing up. Is it bc of the surgery itself? Or the Aneasthesia? And can that hurt ur stomach? I mean like do damage or anything ?

I get sick to my stomach when I think of how I got to this point or about the surgery. It’s OK everything will be ok. Today do something for you. You are strong. You have made it this far it’s almost here. You’ve got this keep going your almost there!!! 😉

giantslsu47 I use an app called Baritastic and it’s amazing it had count til my surgery it keeps track of how and what you eat but u set ur goals

I’m still surprised by this. They scopes me Tuesday 12/4 they said I have a hiatal hernia and need my gallbladder removed. My surgery is set for 12/11 they are fixing the hernia removing my gallbladder and doing the surgery. They briefly touched on this in the nutrition class and said it was common. I’m glad that I’ll be able to have the RNY just puzzled by your surgeon

Oh my goodness I’m so sorry to hear some of you are having such a rough time especially Psyched. One of my biggest fears is throwing up. I hope they were able to give you something. I’m 4 days away I was totally fine now freaking out a bit. And VSG David u seemed like you were doing so well before...

Be careful w the egg I’m on day 9 of the liquid diet I called the dietician yesterday to ask if I could have one and she said no bc of the fat content.

I’m December 11th. I work the 10th. My count down is until I can have an ounce of soup! Been on the liquid diet for 8 days and lost 9 lbs! I REALLY want a scrambled egg. Trying to keep my cravings realistic lol

Wish my last meal was memorable. Took forever to put my kiddo down so it ended up being Raman noodles lol

8 days till I’m sleeved woohoo. Tomorrow I have to have an upper GI. Has anyone had this? How did you feel after?

9 more days til surgery. I hate these stupid shakes. I made through my son’s birthday yesterday without eating anything except my shakes and everyone telling me their opinion on my surgery 😞. I’m just ready to get it over with.

That’s how cigarettes were I smoked for 18 yrs. I did need the help of Chantix but passed the blood test.

Keep on top of the liquids! I’m 5 days liquid still have 10 to go. Day 3 I got fuzzy and confused called the doctor I was behind on the shakes and water they said it was dehydration. Got busy at work and didn’t think about it. Good luck!
