Can you add two protein drinks together?
AggiG replied to Lovin2lose's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I love all of the choices. I never thought about putting different flavoring into the protein shakes. Thanks for the heads up. -

I am at the pre-op stage of my journey. When I feel the hunger I just ignore it. I'm not saying it is easy but that is what I do. I don't drink water to get rid of it because that (to me) makes me feel hungry (silly I know). -
My dietician told me that Crystal Light, Great Value (Walmart) that they count as water, That is what I drink sometimes. I also like my water room temperature. I will drink it cold in the warmer weather.

I found that but want to friend request you too.

Thank you. 🙂

No. Please help me find you. I have been on MFP for a long time. I'm not sure where to look

I haven't had my surgery yet and both of my babies are 25 and 27 year old adults. You are doing the right thing in having the sleeve for yourself first but also for your family (second). You will be able to move more, play with your girls and have more fun as a family. This is one of the reasons I am having this surgery. I want to be able to walk with my husband, have adventures with my husband and my family without having to stop every few yards to take a breather. I feel I am a burden on my husband (more on myself) because I can't do the things we would like to as a couple. Good luck with your surgery and I will be praying for you. 👍

Just a question, are you a diabetic?

WHAT made you choose YOUR SURGEON?
AggiG replied to Frustr8's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I went to a bariatric seminar to get information on bariatric surgery. One of the surgeons gave the talk, since then she has been the one who has ordered all of my tests, so I am thinking she will be the surgeon who will do my surgery but not sure at this point. -
How long does the chest pain last?
AggiG replied to sleevemebaby7781's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sip, sip, sip. I haven't had surgery yer but I have read many posts and people are saying "SIP" don't gulp. As for feeling miserable or nausea I can't give any advise. Take is easy and relax as much as possible, as I have read, it gets easier. Good luck, you can do this. -
You will get the support you need here. All of us here are or have been obese. We all need that support and not be criticized for trying to do what is right for us. Just do what you think is right for you and we will be behind you 100%. I have 1 more month to go and hoping I will be scheduled my the sleeve in December. Good luck on your journey. 5

AggiG replied to fandangle's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I keep gaining and losing but have decided that it is time to stick to my weight loss plan. I'm not very good a losing weight but I'm not doing too bad (could do better tho). -
My family (husband, kids and both sisters. and Pastor) are the only ones that know about my surgery.
-
I am a 62 y/o housewife who loves her husband and children very much. I am waiting for 2 months to pass so I can be scheduled for surgery. I trained as a Medical Assistant but have never been hired. After surgery I really want to be able to walk long distances with my husband and pup Echo, do a little traveling. I am looking forward to a much healthier life with my family.
-
Welcome Christian. I am going through the pre-surgical regimen. As of tomorrow I have 2 months left before my surgery will be scheduled. Good luck (you won't need it, it's not too bad). I wish you happiness.
-
Welcome I too am pre-op I have this month and 2 months to go. I am opting for the Gastric Sleeve. My Dr. said that I may be possible for to have my surgery sometime in December. My BMI is 46.6. I am 5'1" and my knees and right hip is hurting my so much. Good luck on your journey and when the comes we will see you on the losers bench.
-
Mine may be in December. Dr. is hoping that it can be done then.

I am currently not as mobile as I would like to be but I am working on it. My goal is to be able to walk my dog (she loves her walks), and to able to do active things with my husband.

Just need to relax. It was easy to gain the weight but will be a struggle at times to lose it. Don't be in a hurry and do what the your surgeon tells you. It will come off

Family Intervention to Stop VSG process
AggiG replied to TropicalBeachDoll's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I told my older (and wiser) sister she was all for it but asked me a few questions first about it I was sure and why I thought I needed to have this surgery. When I explained that I had thought long and hard on this (about 16 years worth) she is behind me all the way. She herself had Gastric Bypass quite sometime ago and has done a great job at keeping her weight off. Now, my younger sister isn't all for it not sure why exactly but she gave her opinion and I explained why I wanted to do this. Haven't spoken to her about it since. -
I will do that. Just to let you know I probably won't be scheduled for surgery until sometime at the end of the year.
-
I think that is very impressive. YOU GO GIRL!! Right now (haven't had the surgery yet, hoping for around the first of the year) my goal is to walk around the block without wanting to drop like a fly. Stay strong and keep the good work.

I'm not a T1 I am a T2 but I am insulin dependent. Our plan is to lower my insulin in-take the night before I start my 2 week liquid diet. Once the surgery is done we will go from there.
