Then you should be ok. It was a little rough driving (motion sickness) but after a solid week I was almost normal behind the wheel (as far as comfort)

I haven't had errors pop up today, I noticed the site crashing many times from a PC using chrome. What I'm noticing now in forums is not even duplicate posts, but triple, quad, and in one 6 repeats. Just curious... wouldn't it be easier to make the mobile app, just a reduced web page? Allowing same functionality as the website? I'm an android user and the app feels very outdated and limited. I tried to download the app to am iOS device and kept getting an error on login. [emoji17] -
If you're on pain medication, do not drive. I'd also allow at least 48 hrs for it to leave your body once you're off pain meds

Just stick to the diet. Its gruesome and boring, but it will prepare you for the days following surgery.

It was much better. I still experience a lot of site crashes through my chrome browser. I wish the app would be more like the website. -
Full liquids question.
MargoCL replied to BelleOfBatonRouge's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pureed is not technically permitted on full liquids. Only the broth. But if you're unsure I would check with your NUT. Thinned out creamy soups, any broth... key is you want to get an early start on your proteins. -

Bari-friendly Tupperware for Work?
MargoCL replied to bettie.blue's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I love bento boxes, I bought a few and used them prior to WLS, I'm looking forward to being able to use them again once I eat more than 2 - 3 oz at a time -
How will my body adjust? Our bodies are an amazing organism, they adjust - it takes time, but it does adjust How much loose skin will I have? I think everyone is different - and could also depend on how long you have been overweight and the skin has stretched (so to speak) How will I start going to the gym? what kind of workout can I do? do I need a trainer? How did you start going to the gym before? Just walk through the doors and go. In the beginning (pending your plan) I was only allowed soft cardio, mainly walking. At the 1 month mark, I was cleared for more strenuous exercises Does everyone get nausea & gas? (Any tips to help) I don't think so on the nausea, I did not have any post surgery, occasionally if I eat something my pouch doesn't like. Gas, was a huge factor in the two weeks following surgery, walk walk walk, drink, drink, drink - use the spirometer EVERY HOUR What was it like to go back to work? I went back to work a week later and I was a little tired, but took a nap when I got home and it re-energized me to get through the evening. I started off working 6 hours days and by the end of the week I was back to 8 hours days.

Bari-friendly Tupperware for Work?
MargoCL replied to bettie.blue's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I love them, I like that some of them have the size imprinted on the bottom so if I'm lazy one day I can use it without the food scale out. But I also use my food scale to ensure I'm not wasting food. I laugh because I bought them when I tried the 21-day diet and failed and wondered what ever would I use this "tiny" containers for... and here we are years later and they are paying off tenfold. -
Bari-friendly Tupperware for Work?
MargoCL replied to bettie.blue's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I bought some kids tupperware lunch containers, but it was actually the 21-day fix containers that have worked the best for me because they are pretty much already measured to the portions we require - Then I just empty onto a paper plate to heat, etc. Here's an Amazon example. https://www.amazon.com/Prefer-Green-Containers-Label-Coded-Multi-Color-Coded/dp/B01N0VIYN9/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1538677330&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=21+day+fix+containers&psc=1 -
If your directions say full liquids, then it's full liquids, no chunks, no chewing. Everyone's plan is different... Water Broth Jell-O Decaf tea Decaf coffee Sugar free Popsicles Sugar free jello Sugar free drinks that are not carbonated Thinned Creamy Broths / soups Protein Shakes Diluted Milk Diluted no-sugar added juice Gatorade Zero, Powerade Zero, electrolytes without sugar Overall if you're unsure, I would follow up with your NUT or surgical team

Getting in your Protein w/o artificial sweetener?
MargoCL replied to Leia's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I rarely use protein shakes anymore unless I'm adding it to decaf coffee. I am getting my 60g of protein in daily, my surgery was 8/20 - It sometimes takes up to 6 meals a day, but it's doable. Tuna Creations has flavored tuna and salmon with 13-16g protein, coupled with cottage cheese - 20+ grams of protein per serving. Yogurt - Dannon Light and Fit Greek and Oikos Zero is 15g of protein per serving The idea is to now slowly ween yourself off protein shakes and move to more solid foods to get the necessary proteins. It's out there, you just have to not be as picky and accept this is for nutrition. My meal portions are no larger than 3 oz and are usually more so around the 2 - 2.5 oz mark. -

How many calories should I be consuming right after surgery?
MargoCL replied to Oct517's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It looks like you just had surgery 2-days ago? I wouldn't worry about calories.. worry about getting your protein and water goals met, honestly that's the most important thing to be concerned about right now. Once you progress through the phases of your post op, you caloric intake will slightly increase. But ALWAYS ALWAYS focus on getting your protein and water first. -
Being wasteful.......
MargoCL replied to AshMarie794's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
With each day, week that passes it does get easier and you learn to accommodate your new pouch. Cooking for one is hard. Do you have friends that you can swap recipes / food with? I had a friend where she'd cook and share and vice versa. It makes things a little easier. I also use to get paid to cook for people I work with. I'd buy the food and cook / prep so they didn't have to... literally no left overs.... -
I can tell you that I started online dated when I moved to NC (about 16 years ago) I stopped 3 years ago when I met my BF. In that time between ... to say things have changed is an understatement. I'm happy I'm not there now.

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
MargoCL replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
While mine have shrunk, they have never looked better. Their bounce and perk came back...so much so my bf didn't believe me when I said I wasn't wearing a bra. Haha...I guess all those teen years when my parents discouraged a bra have paid off.... my breasts at 46 look better than at 26 -
Need Help getting my protein intake!!
MargoCL replied to JayBunz18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I found with the protein waters I can only tolerate them if they are ice cold. Otherwise it feels like a brick going down. But of the brands Protein20 is definitely a winner. Sam's club had them the cheapest with 3 flavors...but I don't like the coconut (reminds me of banana boat sun tan lotion [emoji14]) If you can buy them individually, try and test to find what works for you. -
I'm eating 2-3 oz per serving. And cals are up to 100 per serving. You need to get your proteins in
