    Potty-Training Boys???

O.K. Who put the curse on me? My son has pooped out in the yard twice now. Once yesterday and once today. He came running up to me saying, "Mommy, you've gotta come see this". My other son is yelling he pooped again in the yard. My DH took care of the first one and today I had to clean the poop from his little legs and butt. What is up with this? I told my husband someone on LBT must have cursed me b/c I've never heard of this b4. I guess I should be thankful we're not changing poopy pull-ups anymore. There is a bright side to everything.

I haven't used that for a long time and it would come in handy about now.

Two Dogs dumped at my house...

This makes me so sad. First of all, I am so sorry to hear about losing your grandma. I know the pain and sadness. :cry Secondly, my heart is so sad to hear about Lulu. On the other hand, you were a special blessing to her. You made a very difficult decision that helped her find peace and be without pain. You could never know how much pain she was in. Bless her little heart!! Rocky sounds like he is in good hands. I am convinced that animals do mourn. Our lab Malley, mourned the death of her best friend, a cat named Toby. She would run outside and look around waiting for Toby to come. You could see the pain in her eyes. Rocky will always remember his buddy. You did a great thing by taking in both of them!!

    Icebreakers for kids?

This is out of my league....sorry my things are more for preschoolers and toddlers. I also missed the part of the $1000 budget. Definitely do a craft!! Child.com is more for the age range your looking for. Here's another link for you: http://www.child.com/child/category.jhtml?categoryid=/templatedata/child/category/data/1131564720344.xml. The vodka is a good idea....maybe I should try some. Good luck!!

    Anesthesia??

I'm not too worried about the anesthesia, but I do have claustrophobia. One thing I read on this site was that someone was awake in the operating room when they were buckling (is that what they call it?) down their arms & such. When I read that post, I felt my blood turn warm in my entire body. I bring this up to you b/c I've added that to my list of questions/concerns for my surgeon. I cannot be awake when they do this or I may just stand up on the gurney! Good luck to you and be sure to talk to your surgeon about your concerns!!

I've been gone way to long!!! Bandiversary!!

Hi Jamie ~ I'm kind of a new face around here. This place has been a lifesaver for me (preband) and an endless source of info and support. You can miss a lot if your gone for a day or so. Enjoy catching up of the events. So sorry to hear about your FIL and your chin. :cry We buried my MIL 3 yrs ago, so I can relate in a similar way. My chin is fine though. :rolleyes :heh: Congratulations on your bandiversary and your weight loss!! You are an inspiration!! :clap2: Job well done! :biggrin1: BTW, I'm blonde too and we don't have computers at our McD's in Indiana either.
  11. Thank you...thank you....thank you!! You all give me the strength to fight the fight. Worst case, I am willing to go through another 6 mo diet program, but they will NOT beat me down. They may make me cry, but I will not go away. I just don't know if this would be a legal denial on their part. Also, since we are self-funded insurance, would it help to plead my case at the corporate office....bascially, see if someone would make a call on my behalf to approve the band? I'm reaching here. Mvpo8961 ~ Thanks! You hang in there too. You are so close and I will keep you in my prayers!

    Little One here

I wish you the very best tomorrow!! I will say a prayer for you. Not much help on the name thing. I haven't thought much about it myself. I think there is a thread around here somewhere with names. Perhaps you should consider your screen name....great things come in small packages!! :gluck:

    R U a NASCAR Fan...Let's Talk!

Kudos to Kasey!! He drove an excellent race and passed my man Smoke....boo hoo. :cry KK has one of the cutest smiles I've ever seen. One of my favorite commercials is where the girls are drooling over KK and wreck. :heh: Oh well, I'm proud that Tony drove the race like the true veteran that he is and that they compared him to the late great Earnhardt. Not sure he's quite there yet, but he's paving his way in the NASCAR history books. Did anyone hear Tony call DW a wuss? That was a fun exchange between them. Tony said if he won, DW would have to climb the fence with him.....DW said he needed a net.

Hippity Hop! WE have new baby bunnies!

How cute! Your son is also so handsome!! I have 2 boys. They have a chocolate lab, kitty, and recently added 5 fish with a lid on the tank. We had rabbits growing up. We'll need to wait till our boys are bigger though b/c they couldn't handle an adult rabbit, as far as holding it and such. We will always have animals and we do want our boys to experience the miracle of birth....some day. :guess Good luck with the little ones and enjoy!! :clap2:

    Home Alone

You know, thinking back my first babysitting job was at age 11 or 12. I watched 3 girls ages 7, 3, & 1 yr. Now that I'm a mother, I would NEVER leave my boys with an 11 yr old. Is it just the times or am I being overprotective? Do you think some of us are too paranoid with all the bad things we hear about these days? I've started letting my 5 yr old cross our road to get the mail & paper and walk up the driveway be himself....with mommy watching, of course. He is such a big shot when I let him do this and I can see the pride on his face. Shawn, you said it perfectly....how very true this is! I think as my kids get older I will have a better understanding and sense of when I can leave them alone. Right now, I guess I'm too out to think about it in real terms.

    Home Alone

The thought of this terrifies me. My kids are only 5 yrs and 3.5 yrs so this issue will be down the road for us. I am a border-line paranoid mother. I do allow my kids to play outside without me, but do keep a watchful eye and check on them quite often. We live in the country. Something to consider is that you can have the most responsible child in the world, but there are predators out there. The number of predators seem to be higher in this day and age. I would worry about some perve watching mommy leave the house knowing the kids were there alone. In the tiny town were my husband works, a co-worked experienced (I should say her daughter) an attempted abduction. The man tried to pull her into a white van. Here in our town a perve was passing out flyer's at the local high school for a slumber party. He was arrested. He was also a registered sex offender. Here's a good website with links to all the states so you can look up sex offenders in your area. http://www.insor.org/insasoweb/general/resources.jsp;jsessionid=aoCdnXjGIaYRadKgkO4e2Q**.prodejb06 Knowledge is power and I will do my best to stay informed of who is living close by. My claws would come out if I find someone looking at my children....what mother wouldn't? I may consider leaving them alone SOME day. BUT....that is a scary thought to me right now.

    R U a NASCAR Fan...Let's Talk!

What happened to Tony at qualifying? :cry It worries me a bit that he's starting in 40th on a track like Texas. Let's hope a big wreck doesn't happen b4 he gets to the front....that is if you a fan of Smoke. :biggrin1: How about that IROC race? GO SMOKE!! Something in his car blew up during the burnout and the crowd chanted for him to climb the fence, which he did....YEAH!! I love it!! :clap2: Has anyone seen Karen on TV? I wonder if she went to Trackside. We've been there in Daytona and it's a blast. Doty ~ I'll send you an e-mail.
  21. I really do feel bad for you and feel your frustration. :cry I am still trying to work with insurance, but after today, I'm thinking I may be facing a battle. I really don't know how to guide you since our insurance covers the band if they decide to give approval. :phanvan I'm sure there are others on here that can offer advice after being down similar roads. I just wanted you to know I feel your pain. Hang in there and keep your chin up b/c your worth it!! :clap2:

    R U a NASCAR Fan...Let's Talk!

Got it....you may want to start pulling in e-mail so we don't bog it down. Your going to enjoy this. :biggrin1: Yes, the awards were on this year. Can't remember the exact date. Nothing has ever been funnier though than when Tony took off his jacket and was wearing his HANS strap (is that what's it's called?). Did you see that one a few yrs ago? Lingerie drawer....now there's an idea.

    I'm hurting myself

Lisa...you are not alone with the head hunger thing. That is exactly what I do and have done for years! I'm afraid to see how much I've gained since deciding to get the band. I know I need to stop this craziness, but not sure how. Even when I do get the band, it will be the biggest hurdle for me to deal with. Why is head hunger so powerful? Can't cut your head off. I need to get real I guess.....whatever that means.

    R U a NASCAR Fan...Let's Talk!

Hey Karen ~ We'll all be looking for that LBT sign!! I hope your getting along OK with your fill. Enjoy and have a super duper time!! On my gosh Kim....you are too funny!! :heh: I'm almost afraid to ask her. She might come through the phone. I'll wait until I know she's in a good mood which is usually b4 race day if you know what I mean. Yup, I'm sure there would be a line of chubby girls waiting on Tony if he would say the word. A few years ago, he did have a girlfriend at the banquet. It may have been when he took his first championship. She was very thin. He was a bit thinner then too. Hi DELRUD75 ~ Glad you stopped by. Be sure to come back after the race and let us know what you thought. Doty ~ I have tons of pics that I've gotten from here and there. Tony has his own special folder on my hard drive. :rolleyes I just used one of the pics as my avatar. I didn't have to resize or anything. I can send you a PM with attachments....can you do that on a PM or does it have to be an e-mail? I'll check into that. If I had a life size Tony, my king size bed would get smaller....oh yeah!! Poor Gordon in the sock drawer, huh? :heh:
