Oops....sorry I didn't read the hole thing. Do I HAVE to list my weight? Really, I am honest. I will tell the truth. I'm even going to tell my husband about this and challenge him to do the same.
-
I'm in this one!! I can finally do something where I don't have a list my weight....YEAH!! I can do 2 lbs. I need to do 2 lbs. I need this challenge. I am terrified of listing my weight and then my husband or family or in-laws seeing it. Oh my....I just can't go there yet. :guess

Your in my prayers!! -
I'll drink to that!!

Congratulations K@t!! I'm glad to hear today was better for you. I'm a huge wimp when it comes to pain....I understand. I wanted an epidural at 8 mos!! :heh: Your doing great!! BTW, you have a winner in your DH....what a man. :clap2:

I love it....thanks for the link!! It reminded me of a pic I took last year of our magnolia tree. I keep thinking I should enter it in the monthly photo contest offered by our newspaper.

Kim ~ I think it's wonderful!! It's something special to see that black on the track. The first race I ever watched was the one Sr lost his life. :cry Why are they qualifying on Sat this week? Anyone...Anyone :brick:
-
Elisabethsew ~ You are so inspirational!! If I need a pick-me-up, I'm calling on you!! :biggrin1: If it is to be, then it's up to me (something from a diet class years ago)....still holds true today. I had my lapband pre-op class today and was totally shocked when 2 people asked what RNY & Duodenal Switch was. First of all, I would think their surgeon should have advised them of their options. Second, why are they having surgery if they didn't do some research on their own? I still can't believe it. Thank goodness these people had different surgeons (hospital supports several bariatric surgeons) than mine b/c I would have had some questions.

seminole ~ I bet your so thankful....100%....AWESOME!! Sorry you were getting bad service. Customer service is taken for granted so much these days. Time will catch up with them & then they'll wonder where all the patients went . Hippo's Hope ~ You probably have a good point on the BMI. Mine is 41 or 42, but then again, I'm not sure my surgeon requires it at all b/c there were 4 people in our pre-op class and everyone was told the same info. Here's what we're allowed the day b4 surgery: Breakfast - normal Lunch - Full Liquids Supper - Clear Liquids And of course, the day of, we are not to have anything. kelli ~ I hope your able to sleep this weekend. :biggrin1: I can't believe May is almost here. YEAH....we will all be banded b4 we know it!! I'm getting excited!! :clap2: You have a great weekend too!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do believe you can settle on property damage without taking a total settlement on medical. Something to think about and research. I say this b/c something could develop in a month or so. His body is probably still tense and he may be missing some symptoms with some other body parts.....OK that sounds weird, but do you understand where I'm coming from. Protect yourselves!!

Oh my, thanks for the warning. I'm sorry you had to go through such a painful experience. :phanvan I'm looking forward to the day when my kids don't want to go to McD's b/c they know healthy food is better.....yeah right, I'm living in a fantasy world. It's too bad kids these days grow up seeing the golden arches and know they want to stop there. And then, some people are wondering why we have an obesity problem with kids.

Hey Stitchy ~ I'm with you, no food after midnight. I had pre-op class today and we don't have a pre-op diet. I do have some Optifast shakes I'm going to use up b4 they expire in July, but it's not required. I've gained 15 lbs since Jan!! :omg: ENOUGH last suppers for me!!! I'm done with that.....now I know I can still enjoy food with the band again some day. Hi Kelli ~ Thanks for your prayers....I will pray for you also & the rest of the May group as well. :biggrin1: Welcome lululacy!!! It's nice to have you here!! seminole ~ I'm confused.....are you getting banded in MX or Boston?

At least you don't have to fight over fault....sometimes people don't take responsibility and the process gets even more complicated!! Unfortunately, the best training you can get for Insurance 101 is experience. I found this to true in my experience. :phanvan Poor DevilMayKare, you have both. :cry One thing to be thankful for is job security....everyone needs insurance no matter how bad the economy gets. Since I have 2 boys, do you think we should have extra coverage when they are able to drive? The thought is too scary at this point. How's your DH's hand? Any better? That pic looks so painful. :cry Take care!!

Oh Deann, I still have my mouth open!! :omg: What a beautiful and breathtaking yard!! This looks better than some golf courses!! I love the variety of flowers and shrubs/trees. Do you get many hummingbirds? I noticed your feeder by the window. We have 2 bird feeders out front and in the AM we have a pair of doves (they mate for life, did u know?) and then in the PM we have a pair of cardinals. Then we get everything in between....sparrows, blue jays, red-headed woodpeckers. I love the country!! You have inspired me to get a hummingbird feeder. :biggrin1: Now all you need a big sign that says: Kasey Kahne Lane. It's a NASCAR thing if I lost anyone on that one.

During my stress test today I was talking to the nurse about this very topic. She asked me why I chose the band and not gastric. I told her my personal reason for choosing the band was b/c I still had to make changes in my head (by making good food choices) and I feel that gastric bypass makes those choices for you. I am fully aware that I have an addiction and not only need physical changes, but mental changes as well. Please understand, I'm not putting down gastric bypass.....this is only MY PERSONAL view and opinion. I feel it's a wonderful choice to have for someone if it's for them. I have no idea of what the future will hold, but for now at this time in my life, the band is the right choice for me. I feel 110% confident in my choice.

MiaHalliwell ~ This thread opened a new line of communication with my DH for which I'm thankful. My husband is overweight, so he was coming from a different angle....we now have resolved this issue. We are both getting the band and LBT informs both of us. I tell him about what I learn. I cannot imagine getting the band without this site. :wow2: This topic is more powerful than I realize sometimes. I know I need to move my butt more, but all of you inspire me! :biggrin1: IMHO I think this site EMPOWERS us to lose weight instead of inhibiting us. I'm sure there are some that may spend too much time on here based on someone else's opinions.....but, it's just that, an opinion.

I can't find that Clear Protein Store. Does anyone have directions? Actually, I was asking for it at Wal-Mart tonight and I got a strange look. Goes to show you, it pays to do your research at LBT b4 shopping. :heh: Why do they have Super Wal-Marts if their not going to offer Isopure?
-
Congratulations!! That is amazingly fast and I'm so happy for you. Your date is on my birthday. :biggrin1: BTW, welcome to LBT, we're glad your here!! :welcome2:

It's good to hear from you. Glad to hear you DH is going to see his doc on Fri. I just feel so bad for all of you. :phanvan This is a trying time and there is lots of little (and big) things to do. I hope you do get your wishes on your car on way or another. It's natural to get attached to things like a car b/c it just "fits"....I understand your emotions on this. Take care and know we're here!!

I compared Flinstones Complete with the Viativ Multi-Vitamin and the Flinstones win hands down!!! Not only is the Viativ missing the iron that Tricia K. mentioned, but it also is missing 3 or 4 other things like magnesium, for example. I have contacted Viativ and told them I wanted to use their product after my WLS, but couldn't b/c of the missing iron. We'll see if they respond. They are missing out on a HUGE market by not including iron. Maybe there's a good reason. :bananadoggywow:

Oh, there's nothing better than fresh veggies from the garden. We LOVE half runner green Beans...YUMMY!! Kare ~ I love your door....it fits perfectly. I don't think it's out of place or too showy. It does make a statement, but not a "crazy" one. :bananadoggywow: Lisa ~ Have you tried www.jerrybaker.com? He has some homemade tonics that will work wonders for various weeds. Check it out. Also, when you do treat, put a large piece of cardboard next to your plants to prevent any over spray.....maybe that will help. More pics.....I love pics!! Where is Leatha's pics.....I thought she had more? I love this stuff. It's a nice distraction from the every stresses. :biggrin1:

Wheestin ~ How is your DH today? I suppose he is very sore. In my case, I got the worst after 2 or 3 days. I thought I was going downhill & called the doc. Sometimes it happens b/c your body actually comes down to reality. Any word on the car yet? I bet you are just sick over that. There's only one way to replace a special order car. :phanvan Take care & keep in touch!!

I hope you have a fabulous big 40!! Happy Birthday!!
