Now is the time to get your list together and make sure you have all you need in the days after surgery. I have never been happier. It's the best thing I've ever done. OK, that is next to marrying my DH and giving birth to my 2 boyz.

I would love to see pics of all your kids starting school. Yesterday my son started Pre-K. He is fortunate enough to have the same teacher as last year. We have become good friends and stayed in contact over the summer. She is true treasure!!! The little girl is the one I mentioned in the prayer thread that has leukemia. She was approved to return to school on a day to day basis. Please pray for her. She wasn't there 5 min until she had her wig off showing the kids her shaved head. She is so precious. She claims my son as her best friend and insisted on getting in on this pic. Perhaps she could be considered his first girlfriend. God help me, I'm not ready for that yet!!!

Can I join? I am so ready for band talk. OK, I'm joining. :mad: I had my first fill on Fri and I've been doing AWESOME. I love restriction. I feel so empowered now. This band may or not last forever, but I sure am enjoying it now. Don't know if this is normal or not, but I've lost 6 lbs since Fri. I've been on liquids and I attribute the weight loss to that. I expect the weight loss to level off after I start on real food on Wed.

:welcomeB: Hi Virginia and WELCOME to LBT!! I've been banded since May 26, 2006 and would do it again 100 times over. Congratulations for taking the first step to the new you.....regardless of what, if any, surgery you decide on. You are very wise to do your research and learn as much as you can. This is the best site I found during my research phase. I have stayed b/c it's still provides me with tons of info and support. Knowledge is power so ask lots of questions. WELL, I have to say I'm glad a mod didn't lock this thread as I requested. It seems that this is a real person in TN. Do a google on PSusan. In response Funny, allow me to be clear to save you some laughter for some really funny stuff. This is what I said. Clearly every thread or user name that contains "susan" does not mean it's about PhotoNut. Confusion can cause a lot of problems as we have recently seen. BTW, since you have been hitting on many threads with your cheese talk (which I do love the comedy aspect b/c I love a good sense of humor), please try to refrain yourself from going off topic. I know in the LBT rules it states that members should stay on topic. Members have recently been warned that they will be banned if they don't abide by the rules. I believe this rule applies as well. I know you understand. May you have many grins and giggles in your future.

Don't apologize Dody. You are only extending love and friendship to a friend. She didn't leave b/c she wanted to. Anyone that believes that is full of crap. She would love to come to LBT and not be harassed. It's really sad when those that find it necessary to attack, get their their self-worth from doing so. I feel sorry for them. They are sad indeed.

It would be so easy to say, who cares? Just walk away b/c my opinion is not going to have an impact. Well, I just can't do that. It's not who I am. I do take a stand for what I feel is right. I may not always be right, but I will uphold what I feel is true and just until someone convinces me otherwise. Trust me, my DH has convinced me to change my mind on many occasions. We communicate and look at each other's point of view. It makes our marriage stronger. Communication is the key. By posting this, it is my attempt to communicate in a respectful manner to things that concern me. You know, this board does belongs to Alex and we should all be thankful. I have said it before, I don't know where I would be without LBT. However, without members, there is no LBT. I think we do have a right to express our concerns and share our thoughts regarding any member or mod. I think Alex would agree with me judging from some of the threads that have been allowed to carry on as long as they have. Alex seems to appreciate (IMO) sharing. Trust is a HUGE factor in being a moderator. Don't get me wrong. Penni, I like you and always have and always will. I like Lisa too. This is not about sides. This is about putting faith in someone in authority. A mod is a person of authority. Would a school allow a principle to continue in his position (or a teacher for that matter) after breeching such trust? I think you should gracefully step down. You have shown integrity by sharing the truth. I URGE you to consider if people will REALLY feel your being fair after knowing you once used your power of authority to scam people offering support? Some may. I'm not that trusting myself. I think you should stay as a member b/c members are not held or should not be held to the same standards as a mod authority figure. I guess that is why I like Lisa so much. I would feel differently about the things she has to say if it were coming from a mod status. It would put an entire different swing on things. For example, you posted the "warning" to LBT on 8-27 and a short time later a thread was started by PhotoNut thanking the mods. Hmmm....I can't help but think Susan knew exactly what was going on and that Lisa was being banned. You can deny it, but it's more about appearances. The trust is not there. Why in the world would Susan indicate winning a battle? Allow me to quote to avoid any confusion. While I'm at it, I will send this concern to Alex, but why is Susan not banned for doing the VERY same thing that Lisa is banned for? Lisa was not banned AFTER your post or at least it was done before she had a clear opportunity to read your post. Susan was being very nasty to me not to mention many others even when Lisa wasn't around. Lisa had not been here for months for pete's sake. She was going nuts just seeing people support Lisa. Why? Does her self-worth depend on whether Lisa is here or not. I think it does b/c she does seem to showing better behavior lately. Mark my word, if someone does not address the issues with Photonut, this scene will repeat itself with another party. The proof is in the locked threads.....don't take my word for it. Take her words....read them yourself. She instigates and goes off crying when she gets it back. Like Lisa said, "You mess with the bull, your going to get the horns." Now, back to my original point. It creates a great deal of concern when you moderate Lisa and suddenly start posting on the Gone For Good Club thread as if you had been a member. I've never seen you on there before until this broke loose. You clearly acted as if you were best friends with Susan. I clearly do not have an issue of being "best friends" with anyone, but when it comes on all the sudden in light of a scandal, it once again takes me down the road of trusting a mod. I'm sorry this is so long. I wanted to share my thoughts before I was banned. If I am banned for saying what I feel and think, then so be it. I'm ready to move on. I stand firm on who I am and would love to continue to be part of the "good" LBT has to offer, but I'm ready to accept the consequences of my above words.

Lisa most certainly DID NOT make her decision to be banned from this site. The decision was made for her. I say bring her back too. I support any efforts 110% to bring her back. Why should one person be singled out for speaking her mind when others do it every day without the same consequences? It all speaks to integrity. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. However, that does not seem to apply here. LISA gets my vote any day of the week. I don't say this to make friends or keep friends. It's how I feel. I know who I am as a person and as a matter of fact, I like the person I am. I stand on my own two feet and call a spade a spade. If you don't know her, you are missing out. I only know her from LBT and since she's not been around for mos until recently, I can't say I know her well. I can however say she is true blue. What you see is what you get. That cannot be said of all members of this board. I respect the fact that she doesn't make excuses for who she is. She doesn't pretend to be something she isn't to gain self-worth. No matter how much a person may try, you cannot improve "self" with lies and deceit. Oh, it may fool some people some of the time, but it all comes out in the wash. Mark my word. Whether Lisa is here or not, the truth will come out. I may not be here to see it happen, but the true victory has yet to come.

I don't remember bringing your name into it Susan. I was being nice and thought this thread should be locked or whatever. Do you really think every thread pertains to you just because it contains part of your name? I think you should move on and not spend your time following other members around. Let's play nice. That's what I'm doing and my suggestion to you is that you do the same. You don't want to be the next person banned now do you? Let's keep the peace at LBT and have this thread removed!!!

I'm thinking this troll should be banned. It obviously has nothing to do with the lapband.

V8 juice sounds so good right now. I wished I had thought to get some. I picked a fresh tomato yesterday and I'm still on liquids from my fill. I'm thinking of peeling that tomato and putting it down the hatch. LOOOOVE tomatoes!!

Interesting. My first thought is that it could be the muscles where the port is attached adjusting to your weight loss. I know that is why I felt so much pain initially after surgery (in the port area).

Good news in the right direction Linda. Will continue to pray. Does he have to get those 20 shots in the leg? My son's classmate has been through that many times. It's a journey, that is for sure. nochoice, Donna, & Sarah ~ Will also pray for all of you. It's normal to feel scared. You will be so glad though to be on the other side. It is soooo worth it. I wish you all the very best and will lift all of you in prayer.

Let me share a story...... We were on our way to church one Sun and the gang was waiting in the van. I was brushing my teeth and I said, "devil, short of a fire we're going to make it to church today". I know, I do talk to myself, just not out loud. The Water I was running to brush my teeth stopped. I wiped my mouth and got in the van. I told my DH what happened and we could check on it after church. We came home to a flood in our basement. Lesson learned. Sorry for the OT, just thought it was appropriate. Now go to church people!!!
