I think you should share the good drugs b/c my cow only jumped once. And as for the spoon, it's the smell that keeps it away.

I vote for the padded room. The maxi pads just don't do the trick. :heh:

Thanks Amy. I didn't ask if they took pics. :cry My mom said he took off on the bike like an indian on a horse. He didn't fall once. Yes, my boys are quite ornary. What one doesn't think of, the other one will. Sounds like you never have a dull moment either. I just love a full house and, the Lord willing, plan to have more children after the band....2 yrs post-op of course.

Don't worry Susan. The smell is just the trolls. Don't feed the trolls and the smell will go away. Hang in there!!

Dealing with family during the holidays...*meep*!!!

I think this shows sharing that we have the band is as individual as getting the band. We all live different lives and have different circles of people. Unfortunatley, some people are more exposed to the nosey, bossy type than others. Personally, I tell everyone. It's just who I am. Maybe that's not for you b/c you are around people that judge. It's a personal decision for sure. I could care less if you want to judge me b/c I am who I am. I am true to myself and that is what counts. Do what you think is right for you. -
Hmmm....new language. I better get one of those LBT dictionaries. :heh: Love the pic Lisa!!!

Your children are beautiful!! I can't see much of your son's face, but you couldn't deny your daughter if you wanted to. Thanks for starting this thread. It's always nice to share pics. Here are my two little monkeys. I took them to my parents house today since my surgery is Friday. I got a call on my cell that my oldest son (in red) was riding his bike without training wheels. I turn my back for one minute & look what happens.....they grow. I was so happy, but a little sad I missed that moment. I'm a SAHM and have been there for just about everything so I can't really complain. We are very blessed.

Jezebel. No particular reason, just popped in my head.

I agree....I would also like to point out that for some, unfortunately, the cancer (analogy as stated) was already forming b4 coming to LBT. Sad but true. :cry

I met my DH at work. I dated from time to time, but didn't waste a lot of dates on those I knew wouldn't make it in the long haul. We only dated 3 mos b4 we got engaged & married after only 7 mos. This is the first marriage for both of us & we were married at age 32. We were both emotionally ready and knew what we wanted in a spouse. We were both a little overweight at the time & in better physical shape than we are now. :phanvan That's why we're both getting the band. :clap2: Always be true to who you are and the rest will follow. I wish you the very best!!!

I too would personally like to thank Alex, Alexandra, & Penni!! You are all wonderful and gracious people. I am thankful for the job you do and I wish I could do more than a public thank you. Maybe I would send flowers or Protein shakes! :hungry: God bless you all!! This will have to do for now.....

Happy Bird News.....I love it!!! My DH and I were both thinking of the little birds last night. Don't beat yourself up Leener. You did the best you could do and the timing was just right. Don't worry about what should have happened earlier. You did the right thing!! We had a nest of Robin fledglings (my new word...didn't know what it was either) and our kitten got into them. We were having a family cookout and everyone felt so bad b/c they ended up on the ground. My dad thought they were dead for sure. Well, my DH got an Easter basket and tied it to the tree, put the fledglings in it and the mommy came back. A day later, we watch them all make their first flight and trip away from the nest. It was heart warming to say the least. Man, can you telly I'm a sucker for animals?

Oh my goodness....call your doc ASAP. At least call the answering service and the on-call doc will call you back to advise you. I am preband so I haven't had expereince this. It could be a minor thing or it could be larger. I don't know, but it's only a phone call. Now, I don't want to scare you, but I have heard of what you describe as the black stuff, could have some blood in it. Blood does come out of our bodies as black sometimes. Just personal knowledge and not a qualified medical person. I sure hope someone with more experinece will see your thread. My vote is to call the doc ASAP. Good luck!!

Did you find the bird yet? I checked with my DH and here's what he said: 1. Cut the hole in the wall so you have a square. Measure the hole. 2. Go to the hardware store to get plaster board to fit, also get plaster & spackle. 3. Insert board into hole so that the paper side hangs slightly on the edge. Nail it to any stud if available. 4. Cover with the plaster and spackle. Do you live near a Home Depot or Lowes? I'm sure they can help and set you up with all you need. Then I would deduct it from my rent.

One down.....

Have you tried the fire dept? They get cats down from trees after all. I wouldn't use the emergency # though. I bet it's still alive and scared out of it's poor little mind.

I feel your pain....bless your heart. You came to the right place for support. So many of us have a some sort of huge hurdle to jump. My journey started in Jan and I'm getting my band this Fri. Others have waited a year or more. Some were approved and banded the same month....I wish they could all be that easy. One thing to keep in mind is that God's timing is perfect. I heard that from another member and it stuck with me. Everyone is right, time will go fast. This journey is for a lifetime and 6 mos is small in the greater scheme of things, but I do understand your frustration. It's perfectly normal. It's like deciding to go to Weight Watchers, but your going to start in 6 mos. You WANT it NOW. Be strong and come here for support. We understand. Keep us posted!!

Your right Amy....vermin problems. Made me think of the smell you may have if the bird dies in there. A hole will still need to be cut b/c the smell will go through the entire complex. Get that hammer out and start hitting.
