MollyMolly and Margo need new Avatars!

AVA-tar! AVA-tar! AVA-tar! -
I've never had the symptom you've described in the middle of your chest however, I have had pressure on the left side. It felt like a brick on my chest. Come to find out, I have an irregular heart beat. You should make a call to your PCP and your band surgeon. Good luck!!!

I would help if I could. I'm not down to a 16 myself, still in the 18/20/22 range. I wish her the best and God bless you for trying to help. You are a good person. :biggrin1:

When does bad surgeon feedback become a dealbreaker?
3loves replied to Constance's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Hi Nancy ~ Did you mean www.obesityhelp.com? -
Paula ~ I understand your concern. Last year my mother was also diagnosed with 3 herniated disks. She was in a serious car accident several years ago and was care flighted from the scene to a trauma center. I think this is where your problems started and it didn't show up until much later. Either way, my mom also has neuropathy in her feet and I keep telling her it could all be related.....she doesn't believe me. She REFUSES to have back surgery b/c her neighbor had it and is now in more pain than ever. Her chosen method of treatment is pain killers. I also can't get her to go to a chiropractor. :phanvan I used to go to an excellent, christian chiropractor in her area an I really wish she would do one or the other. Some days are worse than others. Oh, my mom has also had HBP for years (since I can remember), a diabetic (she refuses to admit it), and is MO, she denies that too sometimes. Of course, I love her with all that is within me. I just wished she would do what I tell her. HA!! They say you are an adult once and a child twice. I tell her that and she smiles at me. Whew...that was a lot of talking....sorry. Please let me know what your mom decides to do and maybe that will have an impact on my mom. Keep us posted!!!

I for one, am interested in your knowledge Jack. This thread does not need to be a forum for arguments. I have taken HMF Replete to balance the bowels & such. I no longer take it b/c of the expense, but I do wonder how beneficial it is. I think this is different than a colon cleanse...am I correct? Is it beneficial to "cleanse" the bowels? Wouldn't your bowels work better if your spine was in alignment anyway, so why the need? These are just thoughts this thread has triggered in my mind. If you don't see a need for further info, please allow Jack to share and don't read this thread. I could get this info via PM, but I do have a lot of respect for Jack and the knowledge he has. I look forward to hearing what Jack has to say. P.S. Jack ~ Are there any concerns going to the chiropractor with the band? I apologize in advance if you've already answered this question. Thanks!!

I missed the race yesterday. I took a nap and then we went to church b4 it was over. I'll have to watch it now since I had it tivo'd. I do feel bad for Carl....he's such a cutie putie. I do think Smoke has reverted back to some of his old ways too b/c of the pressure he's had. Not to mention, he's had similar things happen to him and nothing is done. These guys settle their differences on the track as it should be done. Not that Tony had a beef with Carl....have no idea....will have to watch the race. Time To Love ~ How do you like the track at NH? Do you go to many races? I would LOVE to be able to attend races. I love feeling the roar when the cars go by....it's such a rush.

My boys were looking at my scars yesterday and asked why I had surgery (like we hadn't discussed it a 1000 times, gotta love kids). I told them that mommy wants to make her belly smaller. The youngest said, "But, why mommy? You belly looks just fine to me." I kissed them both and just about cried. They are the reason I know I can succeed and my DH, of course.

Drugs - What am I doing to my body?
3loves replied to BeacheeGirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Very well said and it's a better way of wording it than I did above. You do have a way with words Leila and you are so kind!! Beachee, you know you are getting support from all angles and we're all pulling for you!! -
Doty ~ Not sure why you are perceived as being a "mess". No need to apologize. Keep taking your pain meds & don't let this place bother you. Like the veterans have said, this stuff comes & goes. I hate to see it come again, but there does seem to be something in the air. Let's (I include myself in this) try to stay positive and keep LBT on the kind and gentle road of helping others!! YEAH :clap2: for LBT and BOO HISS :ogre to evil.

Do you still have any connections at your old church? I spoke to my old pastor 2 wks ago. He is turning 85 and I can't believe it, he is retired now. Maybe you could try contacting someone from the old days or maybe you just need to find another church. Or maybe you just need to surrender to what you know God wants in your life. You do need God, but you also need someone to help you get off drugs. You know, I feel the need to share this with you b/c it is so appropriate. Tonight at church, the pastor spoke on Opportunity and quoted Isaiah 55:6 "Seek ye the Lord while He may be found, call ye upon Him while He is near." You need to get on your knees. God is speaking to you. Talk to Him. I will share some other things our pastor said.... Sickness teaches the weakness of our worldly body, our limitations, reminds us of our littleness of life, & other dependents on God. Sorrow is God's great ministers, it brings life into reality. I must have been taking notes tonight for you my dear. I can feel God working in your heart. Do you have a bible? Get it out and read it. If not, you can use this site: http://www.biblegateway.com/. You are so close, you need Him now more than ever. BTW, if there is anyone reading this that doesn't agree with what I have said, please don't use this thread to start a religious discussion. I am honestly trying to help and I am sharing my heart. Start another thread if you must, but let's keep this about Beachee. She needs our support. -
When does bad surgeon feedback become a dealbreaker?
3loves replied to Constance's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I combined my research off of feedback and personal feedback. I spoke to a few patients either face to face or on the phone. Then again, I've only seen one negative comment about my surgeon and I think it had more to do with the individual than the surgeon. Do a meet and greet with the surgeon as well. I am a pretty good judge of character and look for signs on how someone speaks to you, shakes your hand, eye contact.....that sort of thing. It's the big picture and too important to depend on one source for a decision. Good luck on your journey. I hope you find the best surgeon possible!!! :biggrin1: -
What will you do with your underwear??
3loves replied to Boo Boo Kitty's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This is a fun thread. I love the idea of burning my granny pants however, I'm afraid my kids would go to church and tell them that mommy threw her panties in the fire. :omg: I can just hear it now. -
Drugs - What am I doing to my body?
3loves replied to BeacheeGirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Beachee, my heart breaks for you!! Like others have said, you are NOT a bad person or a failure. You are stronger than your addiction, but you need intervention. I do not have personal experience with this, but I do agree the best thing for you to go is get professional help. We are all addicts on here in one way or another. We all needed help to get us on the road to recovery, whether that be food, drugs, shopping, or fill-in-the-blank. I have seen it many times on programs where they say the drugs are in control to a certain extent. Check your insurance and/or company you work for to see if they offer a confidential 800 line where you can call with any kind of problems. Hang in there and I wish you the very best. PLEASE make a call or share this with your DH. You are only 1 step away from the new you. Do it today & I will be praying for you. -
Glad to hear you were able to hook up with a doc. Awkward as it may be, there is a reason for it. I'm sure this will pass after the first visit. Let us know how things go. BTW, did you pick out a dress yet?

Oooo....sounds yummy. I use peanut butter sometimes too. I love peanut butter anything. :biggrin1:

I was in our pool yesterday and noticed my wedding rings were doing circles around my finger. This morning in the shower, I noticed the same thing. I've only lost 23 lbs and I'm wondering when I should get it resized? How loose is your wedding rings....or any rings for that matter? When you plan to have them resized?

It would be sad to see this thread locked as I never knew what I was missing as far as the colon goes. My DH had diverticulitis and I thought I knew a little bit about the colon. :phanvan Am I the only one that sees the common denominator of the locked threads? Things that make you go hmmmm...... Leila ~ Let me say I think you are truly a beautiful person inside and out. You have such a caring heart and are very sincere. Keep your eyes and thoughts moving forward. You will succeed along with many others on our journeys.
