    Recovery

Your having major surgery. I don't believe there is a doctor anywhere that would release you to return to work the next day. You definately need time off to heal. The amount of time depends on which surgery your having, your age, your health, your financial situation ect. Read the previous threads on this topic and take your doctors advise. People like me

You've chose sleeve along with surgeons advice, that's great! Other posters brought up bypass, I would continue on the road that you've already have chosen. And if theres not anyone on this sight that has your starting weight, you can always check out intagram or utube for information and support. I wish you the best on your journey! Anyone regretting this?

If there was ever a post/thread that should be closed, this is definitely the one. Beating a dead horse over and over. The OP already responded. The original post was a RANT. She said that twice. When she said "can't go to the ER ,I've got kids' she meant nobodys got time for that when you have four kids. That's where the response came that we get that as Moms. Nothing was meant against Dads. OP did not mean she was against getting medical attention and so many people started unfair posts back at her. Some posts were harsh when all she was looking for was support. Nice things like "suck it up. You made the decision, ect". We could respond to everyone's post that way actually. Close down the sight and just day suck it up. OP probably left the sight. One other poster did for sure. Me, I do the usual here, most of the time I choose not to post for fear of backlash, being bullied and all the negative comments. But it's OK, the veterans run the sight. They stick together, have to have the last word, and are always right. That's the way I see it. Didn't take long to figure out. AND I have the right to my own opinion. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Hard time

I'm in the same range as you are. Six months post op and I've lost 70 lbs. I'm happy with my loss. Everyone is different as to how fast they lose weight. I could NOT have lost this amount on my own. I feel great and am continuing on my journey to be more healthy. My surgeon said I'm doing great. I'm off all meds that I took before. Primary care Dr said I should have lost more. I'm not letting him get me down. I've followed my surgeons advise on eating and Ive done the best I can. Im in my 50s and I'm not going to compare myself to younger people that have lost way more than me at this point. The more a person weighs the more pounds you need to lose before its noticeable. Stay positive. Your doing great! Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

Conversations here are too often turned into a debate and someone "winning". That's why at times I step back and get out for awhile. Everyone chiming in about the original poster. Where Is she? I don't see her posting. I just hope she feels better. Thats what counts. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

Pretty much almost everything is a rant on this websight. Many do not post in correct sections and god forbid...let's not go there.. where people do not search before they post and they start the same thread all over again. It happens. In fact the last line of her original post is that she was just ranting and apologized for ranting. Your words are a little harsh, just saying..your statement she could very well die. She's not dying. She's here ranting. She's a mom and I get it. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

You and matt are hard core, blunt to the point. You are both right. But sometimes people just need to vent and know they are not alone. Thats why they came here. I was a crazy dramatic and I'm so thankful for those that listened and were supportive. Everyone have a great day! Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Feeling Weak

Feeling weak....very normal. Your barely getting any calories in. For me it took months before I got my strength back. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  10. Your grieving the loss of your best friend, FOOD. If you feel crazy, believe me..I was nuttier than you. Your in the right place seeking help from others that have been through it. Just get your rest, focus on getting your water and protein amounts in. Best wishes to you! Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  11. I got you, girl. I'm six months post op. Been in that same place..its not easy. Your body and mind is wigging out. You will go thru ups and downs, more changes than you will ever go through. Get a journal scribble down your crazy thoughts. Doesn't matter if you cant read it. Get it out. Pray if your at all religious. Concentrate on the positive and stay focused on yourself and you will get through it. Go to a support group if there's one in your area. Your going to be just fine..it just takes time. It took me until four months till the waters parted and I felt human again. Please keep us posted..hang in there. Every day will get better. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  12. You are a real trooper! I would have fallen Asleep at my desk, totally knocked put when boss came around! Lol Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  13. Cottage cheese....same with me. Loved it before and now do not ever eat it. Texture is now weird and gross to me and the taste is weird. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  14. I'm six months post sleeve. Tastes definitely changed. After bland liquid diet, funnel diet, soft food stage ect. And I would also like to mention I stayed in those phases a little longer just to be on the safe side....my taste buds have definately changed. Use to love tuna before surgery, now post surgery has super strong fishy taste to me. Love fruit now since its sweet and juicy. Watermelon being my fav food!! Frozen, canned or processed foods turn me off, have no desire to eat. Have no desire or cravings to ever go thru a drive thru again. Hope that lasts for quite sometime. Tried one bite of pasta. Had weird sponge flavorless texture, not for me. Bread is the same. I eat yogurt everyday and love flavors I did not before. Use to absolutely hate carrots and now love the crunch and can eat them every day. My tastes have definitely changed and I believe its from the initial change of diet post surgery. So happy for the changes! I'm so blessed to have met my surgeon who made it all possible and affordable. Love love blossom barriatrics in las Vegas!! Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
