    Uncomfortable After Eating

Exactly. Just take it slow. You will be fine. I'm two month out and still taking it slow. I had one new food at a time and see how I do. I've had no issues, no nausea or vomiting. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Uncomfortable After Eating

Its a baby stomach. So try one thing at a time. Try yogurt and if that sits Ok then later try the next soft food. Try sugar free pudding and applesause also is something that goes down easily. Slow down take your time. If your not ready then stay on liquids, broth ect. Make sure your getting in your protein and liquids. Tuna, mashed potatoes and casseroles can come later. 4. My surgeon said from very beginning to start sipping. Just keep on sipping. No rule as to how much and how fast. Just sip all day and goal is 64 ounces per day. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  5. Take this time to focus on you. Follow the surgeons orders and the time will pass quickly. I'm two months post surgery and I remember my first days, first month were killers. I had regret every day and the same thoughts as you. I felt like i couldnt drink or eat enough to stay alive!! Just do the best you can in the protein and water requirements. Gradually things got better and I feel myself again. I carry a water bottle and eat my small protein packed meals, if you want to call them meals. Lol. Its gets better. I used all the tools possible, followed all surgeons orders and attended his support group. This surgery is life changing and all the research and information I read could not have prepared me for the mental part of it. Made it through. Things got better. The old saying.... one day at a time. Take care.. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  6. Anyone have this issue....I'm 2 months out after sleeve and hiatal hernia repair. . I've experienced tightness in rib area, feels like I can't take a deep breath. No pain or shortness of breath. Just this feeling of tightness at times. . I've had this feeling on and off since surgery. No other issues. I'm progressing along quite well but this does bother me. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  7. On two months post op and my hair is so dry. Absolutely no moisture in my hair. Starting to see hairloss. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

  9. I looked every where for the gas x strips. Walgreen's pharmacist said they no longer make them. If you can find them, then try them but I was told they don't help for this type of air After surgery. The gas pain was so bad after surgery that I had my daughter look for them everywhere!! In hopes they might work!! Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Stalls

Yes, I totally agree about the stalls. I'm two months out. Had sleeve on may 2nd and I haven't lost a pound in three weeks. I was frustrated at first and sad but trying not to focus on the scale. Your weight loss is inspiring. If you have time could you post a sample of what you eat in a day, please? I'm running out of ideas of foods to eat. Thank you so much. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Stalls

Losing 20 lbs in 5 weeks is definitely not slow!! And going from size 16 to 12 is amazing!! I think eveyonrs expectations are way too high. Im in my 50s and I listened to younger people tell me how great they felt after surgery as they bounced right back. The weight seemed to fall off for them. Not so easy forms. Everyone is different. Everyday is s struggle for me. I've lost 30 lbs in two months and I'll take it!! I've never done that before!! And I have to choice. At this point, two months post op I'm focusd on eating my protein and drinking water, taking my vitamins , starting to walk and getting my strength back. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  12. You are NOT alone. When I was cleared to eat chicken, fish, meat I was scared to eat. It was almosr like I has been traumatized and did not want to eat. I had bad dreams that I ate the wrong thing, ate too much or choked!! I talked to my nutrionalist and she said take it slow. Stay on liquids, pureed foods ect as long as you want. There's no hurry. Everyone is different. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Gas bubble is killing me

The starving feeling will pass also. Just takes time to heal. So many changes and such a shock to our bodies. Your stomach will settle down in the next couple of days and it will feel calm and normal. Next thing I went thru was tightness in rib area, a feeling like I could not get a deep breath. Had itching in stomach area when healed. Also got a yeast infection. After about month I got back pain. All normal from body changes. Feel like I've been thru so much. 14. I've already seen the benefits. I'm down 40 lbs in two months . people compliment me in the weight loss and say how good I look. It means nothing and doesn't make me happy. I still can't eat! I mean ..cant eat like I want to...its like someone took away my drug of choice. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
  15. I was so angry and depressed after surgery. So many emotions to deal with. Felt like I lost my best friend. Self inflicted deprivation. Regret every day and wondering how I could have made this choice to have 80 % of my stomach cut out. I think I even mourned the loss of a body part. My mother passed away and I had nothing to turn to. Everyone got to gether to eat. I went home alone sad and angry...I returned to work and thought that would help. Found out I'm angry at everyone, maybe because they get to eat and I don't. Maybe because they don't know what I'm going through. The sleeve also gave me confidence and bolness and at times no filter. Everything in my life has changed. Everyday since surgery has been a struggle. Everyday regret. But its getting better and I have to realize I saved my life. I can only hope that someday I will not regret the surgery. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Confused

I've felt the same way. But I do have friends that over ate and they had pain and even throwing up. So I know that I am doing the right thing by not eating too much. Just follow what doctor says and we can't go wrong. You would feel the pain if you were over eating and stretching your stomach. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Gas bubble is killing me

Forgot to tell that I too had hunger. I woke up from the surgery feeling like I was starving. It felt like hunger and no one could convince at the time that it was anything else. 3 to 4 days later my stomach calmed down and the hunger pains were gone. I now think it really was not hunger but excess stomach acid. It does pass. Your will feel your stomach settle down back to normal in a few days. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Gas bubble is killing me

I know EXACTLY how you feel. I could have written your post! I'm two months post op. Those first days after surgery were miserable. Have someone burp you like a baby. Massage your back starting at bottom and going up. Have them karate chop your back till the gas comes up. You will feel it as a burp and you will get relieve. I needed this down about every 45 minutes. Its going to go away. Don't worry and know it gets better every day. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Random stomach pains

In the first weeks my stomach made so many noises. And everything ran right through me. Be happy for that cause constipation sets in after that. Much worse. The first month after sleeve was something new each week. A new pain or weird feeling. Then things settle down and I starting feeling myself again. Just drink, walk. Relax and don't worry. Its all normal. If you have fever, throwing up or extreme stomach pain or your incisions are inflamed then that's different. Your doing great. Read the internet about sleeve but believe only half of it. Utube people are so dramatic. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

    Random stomach pains

The doctors office will always tell you to drink more and to get your protein in. Whatever the issue, that's their answer. Your going to go through different weird things in the first months. Body is going through a lot adjusting to the change. The best advice I could give you is to drink water and your protein shakes. Start the next stage slowly. . I worried about everything. And it all passed. Every day you will feel a little better. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk

RNY bypass 6/20 too much ?

You have to.be more patient. I had same issues. Maybe worse. I had hunger. I couldn't believe it!! Everyone told me to give it some time. My stomach settled down and it went away. What your feeling is totally normal. Just follow your surgeons orders on what to eat and you will be fine. Sent from my Z970 using Tapatalk
