No one told me I could have the SF jello and popsicles but I’m allowed to have them post op in the liquid phase. I just went ahead and assumed they were fine since they’re liquid and no sugar. 😊

I’m on 4 protein shakes and a small meal. I too have had a headache. The sugar free jello and popsicles help.

I already have my gallbladder out. Needed to be removed a few years ago so I don’t have to worry about that part.

How’s is day one liquid diet going for you?? I’m sooo hungry lol. It also doesn’t help that I’m PMSing but oh well. I think I’m going to bed early today 😂😂

Me too!!! My surgery is scheduled for 8/3 but my surgeon still hasn’t gotten insurance approval. I hope they hear from them soon and we can carry on as planned. Good luck to us tomorrow!

I have a date but no insurance approval yet. I called Monday and they told me that they should be hearing from insurance soon, so they went ahead and reserved 8/3 for me. I’m really hoping things fall into place soon.

Hi there, Like many of you I’m a parent. I have a 9 year old and a 7 year old. My oldest is worrier by nature, therefore I haven’t mentioned the surgery in front of them. I think I’ll wait until a couple of days before and share it with them. The question is what should I tell them? How do I explain it in a way that doesn’t make them worry about me. Obviously I’m their mom and they don’t see my imperfections so I’m worried they won’t understand why. I hope I’m making sense, thanks for your input!!

How/What do you tell your kids?

Thanks for your input! You son sounds a lot like mine. I think that’s why I want to wait until I’m closer to surgery date. I feel there is no need to ruin him summer. Good luck to you and I’m glad your kids can already see a difference! -
How awesome! Congratulations!!
