  1. So here's the thing. I have been at a stall for 2 weeks and now im feeling like I can eat more but I don't want to but its like I also am not getting that satisfied or full feeling, I don't know whats going on im 38 days post op now and I feel like its too soon for this.

    Appetite back with a vengance!

I felt this way the moment I left the hospital, thinking I know my hunger when truthfully I don't. How about you ignore your "hunger" and just make sure you're getting in everything that you need each day, meaning hitting your target protein and calories only and just spreading it out per day. Food just gives you energy. It's not something you're supposed to naturally want to indulge in, we build those negative traits and habits over the years. Everything you saying is very negative and like your shifting the blame. For one your taste buds change after surgery truthfully, I used to hate cottage cheese as well but now in my purred stage I sprinkle on some salt-free dissolvable seasoning and I love it. This surgery is about making changes good changes to make for a better future. Like everyone says it was a tool, treat it like one, the weight isn't going to magically fall off. Just because the items were left in your house doesn't mean you NEED to eat them. You should have removed them before surgery that's what I did it helped just keep the idea of them out of my head. Like you said you spent over 6k on this surgery take control of your life this forum is as well a great tool im 4wks out rn and this honestly has been one of my only aides besides my care team. If you listen and take the criticism and advice you will be successful eventually. Im sorry that you feel so discouraged but you lost 36lbs thats amazing and as long as you listen and try YOUR very best you will come out of this your best self much love🦋
  3. I love love love sleeping on my stomach I held out until my incisions were mainly healed but I try and sleep on my stomach now and its fine until the mornings! when I wake up it's like a burning sensation on the area of the incision that I think they used to take out my stomach. anyone experience this? if so any solutions?

    Itchy Incisions

OMG Yes this was my biggest issue Post OP I'm 16 days out and I think that they just stopped itching maybe 2-3 days ago. Using Dial Gold when showering helped alot
  5. So, its been 16 days post op my NUT told me I was cleared for pureed foods at 12 days, I tried a VSG-friendly shepherds pie it went down ok I was sooo happy and proud I got full after like 2 bites. Yay, confirmation my sleeve is working! BUT THEN! I took a bit of low fat vanilla Greek yogurt, ONE BITE, My mother had to call 911 I was in so much pain I was on the toilet, pooping like crazy and gaging as if I had to throw up yet nothing came out, then I had a large amount of pressure all the way across my back between my shoulder blades. I was sweating and crying and so confused! There was at least a 2hour difference between the bite of yogurt and my dinner. Has anyone else ever experienced this? Also, any ideas for pureed foods would help! Thanks
  6. I don't feel FULL! so I keep eating and I don't know what to do. The only "pain" I ever feel is when I'm swallowing something it's too thick or whatever but not full. I thought the surgery would help with that but no. Then I feel like okay since I don't feel full maybe I need to eat other foods?
  7. Thats the thing i dont feel FULL! so i keep eating and i dont know what to do. The only "pain" i ever feel is if when im swallowing something its too thick or whatever but not full. I thought the surgery would help with that but no.
  8. starting this surgery they made it seem as though you cant eat or you will feel full however I never feel full just self-conscious that my stomach is stretching and I stop myself from eating. I've been having Breakfast essentials, I had them in the hospital and fell in love. I can "eat" like 2 of these in a day I love the variety chocolate flavors, also I was having creamof Soups and like broth but it literally made me want to throw up after day 4 and I ran out of shakes so I just didn't eat at all besides Water from day 4-6. I tried several different regular foods none of which went down okay like eggs, tuna, steamed fish, babyfood banana, a mushed up pancake, etc eventually I got to the point where I drink only water and then chew up and get the flavor out of food then spit it out (Nasty I know). Now it is like day 10 post op and I got more B.E shakes along with a $2 baby watermelon and a large Soup from the hot food section (its kale and chouico but I mainly put the liquid in the container) and an Avacado ( i figured I could mash it up)

THE AVACADO WENT GREAT! I was so excited it's my favorite food and it went down smooth and yummy!! with a little salt and lemon. YUM!!

the soup went down fine until I got a little potato by accident, oops. that hurt like f**king bloody hell!

The watermelon went great too I've been really craving fresh fruit! I just had to eat it extremely slowly. but loved

But I just feel like overall I've been trying too many different things and eating chunky things too early and im worried about weightloss and I don't know I just feel its too much any input?

Have you checked with your team? I think the majority of us were put on liquid diets for the first two weeks.
