HELP!! my DR. is recommending a 'fleur de lys' (vertical) abdominoplasty. Has anyone had one? Or have any info/advise, I've looked it up on google but not a whole lot of info on it. Doesn't seem too popular, I have a lypoma on my upper stomach, that will be removed at the same time (its starting to stick out). Thats the reason for this style of surgery, sounds kind of hard core though? :wub:

Hey Nigel, firstly congratulations on your weight loss! and the new you! I was just reading your post and was going to suggest a surgeon in Adelaide, but as i read further i see you your way ahead of me...lol! I had my lap band Dec 07, TT Jun 08 and breast reduction Sep 08 all performed in Adelaide. All surgeries combined cost $7000 after insurance and medicare. As I'm sure you'll agree money well spent!! I have lost a total of 107lbs and feel great! would recommend this process to anyone who has struggled with weight loss. Out of curiosity who was the surgeon Dr Kollias performed my TT and BR, cant say enough, he was great!! Good luck with your future procedures!! Will you be posting any pics?:thumbup: Trudy

I was banded in Dec 07, By Dr. Paul Anderson at Ashford in Adelaide. It cost me all up $2100, plus $150 for 2 night stay in Hospital (worth every cent....no regrets):thumbup:. Refills are covered in full by my insurance-Medibank Private. Seems to be quite a difference in the surgery costs and whats actually covered by insurance...interesting.

Hello, I had an abdominoplasty on June 12th my surgeon removed 3.5kg/8lbs. I will be getting a breast reduction/lift in a few weeks and expect to lose more then.

Hello my name is Trudy. I was banded on Dec 17th 2007, lost 44lbs so far. Didn't realise so many people have undertaken this surgery, great to see all the results. Look forward to reading more posts. :cry_smile:
