Brassapple: 1st congratulations on that 18 pounds! You should be proud! You are rocking it! 2nd- of course you’re hungry w/ soup and drinking your protein! I would be too! My doc only had me on a liquid diet for a week post -surgery and then they told me to starting food. But soft foods, my staples are Turkey chili , eggs, Greek yogurt and organic apple sauce. Sometimes chicken, bits hard to get down. Maybe some soft foods will help. 3rd- your body and hormones are changing, depression is normal.
4th- I understand how hard this is for you. I fell and broke my foot the week after surgery, which delayed my exercise program. I was so bummed, all wanted was food. That’s when I realized that food was my friend .. it was there when I was happy or stressed, but mostly when I was sad. And it was time to say goodbye to that friend.
So, even though my process was delayed, I was able to find that piece of my obesity that was the most problematic and face it. I guess that broken foot was a blessing in disguise.
