Lu..you do have a great body. One day I might have one to! But since I am not allowed to excersize anymore I will just have more flab than I thought I would! I did sing that at work today and it helped me make it through a very strange day at work.

What did your dr. tell you? Clear for how long? Follow your Dr's orders! If your not for sure call and ask. As far as the protein drinks go, there are many things you can add to make them taste better. Yes peanut butter can be mixed in. There is a thread on here (for all stages of banding) that is recipes. Christna, how are you? If you think this is hard, there was one thing I forgot to mention before. After you get banded you will see food porn for weeks!:huh2: I literally had a hard time watching anything other than the food network!:juggle: Then when I would watch something else it would have food in it. You start to realize how many food ads are in TV. So hon be prepared!

Thanks Heart. Keithy died from a blood transfusion gone bad. I am not for sure why he had to have it, but the Dr. literally popped his tiny veins because he gave him to much blood. That's been 57 yrs. ago. plains blogs are definitely interesting.:thumbup: Hoping I will fall asleep soon.

Kristen. I am so sorry to hear this. But don't trust the pool to much. We had a 6 yr.old drown on the last day of school. There were 2 lifeguards on duty when it happened and parents galore. it was a b-day party. I know my parents never fully got over my brothers death. he was 10 months old. That was before I was born. 6yrs ago when my oldest brother died my dad got worse. He had gotten where he was afraid that one of us remaining kids would pass before him. (mom had been dead for 9yrs at that time) It was almost an obsession with him. Beth that is great! I am so happy for you. PJTP..my oldest DGS will be 10 tomorrow! It is so hard for me to believe. I am still amazed when I look at my DG Children that my babies have babies! How blessed I am.

Chrystina, Congrats on the approval!. All dr.'s are different on what pre op diet they want you to follow. I had to do low carb for 1 week. Others have to do liquids. Ask your dr. what he wants you to do. Follow his orders to a T. Read these threads. Old post, new post, just anything on here to help you to be prepared for what to ask the dr. and what to have on hand post op. There is a mountain of info here for your reading pleasure! Just remember that no it is not ok to eat chicken/ hamburgers or anything else 2 days after surgery. Some people will say oh but I did and I am alright. Maybe for right now. Let your body heal. Don't worry about maybe gaining at first, this is natural. You will experience bandster hell. You will most likely have gas pains, walk and take Gas-X strips. You won't be able to get all your fluids in at first. You are swollen from banding. As you heal you will be able to drink more. read the liquid and mushie stage recipes. Lu, sorry about the lightning strike. I know how much gets destroyed when something electrical gets hit. My dad's place got hit once. Outside light in the yard, ran into the house and just about all things electrical had to be replaced after all the wiring taken care of. Beth, I am so sorry about what you have been putting up with all these years. It is breaking my heart. Everything that Tap and Ebony said is great advice. get yourself set up financially. If you need to get away I have a spare room. We have great colleges here. I have a dear friend who won't leave her hubby because of the vows she took. I am a Christian, but there are issues (I personally think) that after you do everything humanly possible, God knows you have to get out of the marriage. My thoughts and prayers are with you hon. I have thought about this a lot since my last post. Taking the child and putting him in foster care, arresting the mother. This is just screwing the boy up even more. I don't care if this is for good intentions. Instead they needed to bring the help into the home. (IMHO). Not break apart the home. It isn't like the mother is a criminal, drug addict etc....

Slim..I don't know if you can do rice or not, but my DD's favorite meal after getting her braces and the tightening was chicken broccoli casserole. She ate the heck out of it. It makes a lot 2 c. instant rice 2 c. fresh broccoli (you can use frozen if you want) 2 cups diced cooked chicken 1 can cream of mush. soup 1 can cream of chick soup 2 cans milk. 3 tbls. butter garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste. (sometimes I would add a little oregano to it.) shredded mixed cheese (optional) spray a large baking pan with non stick spray. Mix all ingredients except cheese right in the pan. Bake on 350 for about 35-45 min.(until broc. and rice is done) Top with as much cheese as you want. Put back in oven until cheese bubbles and lightly browns. I usually turn the oven up at this point to 400 I hope you enjoy.

Yea, it won in my house. I went to the store and got shortbread choc. covered cookies. Came home and had cookies and milk. (still licking choc. off fingers.) That's as bad as my ex hubby. burning leaves and squirts the burning pile with Gas! Poof no eyebrows or gotee!:thumbup: That had to of been a sight! :skep: Yes it was. I was quite amused. Then I told him how stupid he was! That he deserved to get burnt! Then he went across the street to his parents house to get sympathy from his mom since I didn't give him any.
