I am asking for my daughter. She is 22 and has severe meniers (pronounced..men ears). She has bouts of throwing up and sezures a couple of times a month. I know throwing up isn't good, but she wanted me to ask.

`here is another one. it is a biggie for me... go on a job interview and not feel like teh interviewer is thinking OMG. you have got to be kidding me. I already have age against me, and I have actually been told I am to fat. it didn't matter I had experience and could do the job. I have to get another job soon and I dread going out. I know the looks. I know I will probably go 15/20 interviews before I get hired. Not unless I go back to what I know, and have been offered by other companies a position. but I don't want to do what i have done most of my life. I left my last job because they knew I had my LB date comming up, and they would'nt get me the help I needed. I was NOT going to cancel my surgury for them. The type of job in the feild I was in is a low paying thankless job. a lot of times 24hrs 7 days a week. in case your wondering a manager for a quick stop. I have done that about 1/2 my life the other 1/2 is cook. I wan't something different. sorry off the subject. and long

Sorry Fitgirl to hear it was so rough. Maybe in time you will get another fill. I finally figured out why my jaw was hurting. I have a hill beside my driveway. it is gentle for about 3/4 of it then the rest is very steep for about 15/20 ft. long and 5 ft high. To mow this part Usually my son-in-laws would mow for me. But all have finally moved out and I needed it mowed! It is supposed to rain again this weekend, so I couldn't wait to have them mow it. But on the steep part I stand in my neighbors yard and get a running start to push the mower up the hill. I had my jaws clenched. Then I was so nervous about my fill that I guess I kept them clenched until after the fill.

I got my first fill today. It was fine. I got about 1/2 way home and started hurting so bad in my back and felt like I was going to pb. My jaws are even hurting. Don't know if it was the fill or from me mowing the yard before the fill today.

Hey Patricia. Dr. Britt did my fill yesterday. He is just plain cute! During the seminar I attended last yr. I was so focused on writting down things and consetrating on what they where saying that I didn't pay any attention to what he looked like.:tongue_smilie: But I noticed yesterday!

I agree about checking into a new Dr. Maybe you could use your nutrionist since you have been with them for a few yrs. Can you do Special K protien Water? I use the individual pks. that you mix in water. it has 30 cal. 6carbs. no sugar and 5g protien. Taste good. Also personal opinion if 1500 isn't enough for you, boost it up to what will keep your blood sugar level and still loose weight. Even if it is slow. Better doing that than ending up in the hospital!

Congrats on your weight loss. I agree about home care. But many travel to other places due to the price. But my personal opinion is the cost of traveling, haveing to find a fill center afterwards, complications(possibly) doesn't equal saving money. Plus you don't know for sure about your Dr. or fill center. Of course I know that can happen near your home also, but I would be more comfortable and would have recourse if something did go terribly wrong.

Thank you all for your responses. No arm wasn't hurting. Back stopped hurting after I pb'd and then took a gas-x strip. jaw still hurts some but eased up a lot when I drank some gatorade. Wonder if I was'nt kinda dehydrated even tho I drank Water while I was mowing and after. Or maybe 2 much before the fill. But I am better now Thanks again

I'm staying on my plan today because I am an awsome, worthwhile individul. I'm staying on plan tobecome a hottie for the first time in my life.

What a can of worms you opened up! I personally vote for who I think is the best. I have voted both R & D. I look at the issues and the answers for them. I know a lot of people who vote there party even when they compleatly dissagree with the canidate. Not me.

I have lost 6lbs since Wed. Over the 4th I gained 4 lbs. Depressed. Started old habits back and had to catch myself. Seen this thread and thought alright, I will loose the 4 I gained and some more before my fill today. So I am happy. I might have lost more but was my grandsons b-day party. I did'nt eat cake but did lick frosting! I had my own low-carb icecream. Another party next week for another grandson. Then 1 more party in August for a granddaughter. All of these are very close together. Had b-day party for youngest gd last of June. I will be glad when there are no more parties. I took my own food to this party cause they had pizza. GS wanted to know why I had my own food and I told him because of the surgery I no longer liked pizza. What a look I got! He is 5 and does not comprhend not liking pizza! But I really don't any more. I like the toppings, but anything bread/ crust I don't like anymore. (except biscuts) Sorry so long and rambling. but yea doing the low carb helped my tremendously.

I was banded on May 13th. I finally get my 1st fill tomorrow. I would of had it 2 weeks ago but there was a mix up @ the dr.s office. I am so nervous. I don't like needles, but had excepted the fact that this is my new life style. What scares me is how big is the needle? Do I just need to keep my eyes closed or is it normal size?

apparently it is common on many of them. I checked out another one and the calories are even farther off than the one I am using. So I will stick with what I write down off the packages for my correct counts.

Does anyone else use My Fitness Pal to keep track of their food? I started using it today and have noticed discrepencies in their totals and mine. I put in the name of the brand I ate and how much. It doesnt always match what is printed on the pkg. I write it down then after I have eaten I logged it in. At lunch is when I noticed the differences. So am confussed on which to go by. I think the totals I took off the pkg. is what I will go with. Anyone else with this problem? :confused2:

I love this thread! I have a few. Mine aren't funny tho. 1.) When your favorite food pre surgery is no longer your favorite food. personal experience here. my taste has changed. I hate bread now! It doesn't get stuck, I just don't like it, not even grilled cheese! 2.) You think about how much you are chewing your food. chew, chew, chew! 3.) you stop studying chairs to see if they are sturdy enough to hold you 4.) When you show the waiter/tress your LB card stating to let you order from the kids menu. 5.) people who know you have the band watch what you eat 6.) falling in love all over again......with garage sales and thrift stores.(because your loosing so fast you don't want to buy brand new yet!)

LOL you are not alone! I can't stand for people to slurp/ smack their lips while eating. Drives me nuts!

you could always call the 800# on the back of your card and ask them. good luck and let us know what they say please. I was self pay. It might help me in the future.
