gone 4 ever

Today will be my first day at work. Only 3 hrs. But that is 3 more than what I had. Community college is a very good idea. Everyone have a blessed Monday.

Mac, I don't know if it will help with minor symptoms, but it will help with the feeling like my band is around my neck. I had that checked a couple of months ago. I thought I was to tight. My surgeon does all fills and unfills under floro. The barium was going through the band just fine. I thought well when I lose more weight I will lose in the throat and will be fine. I thought it was just fat. One thing that makes me kinda upset is that apparently back in 2004 when I had bronchitis and went to the ER they found the growth then. Apparently it was small, but why didn't they tell me about it? I found this out yesterday when I picked up my records from the ER. So for 5 yrs on record I have had this growth getting bigger. I would have had this taken care of then! I had good insuance. But as far as my back goes, I will still have to have back surgery.

Are you self pay? that makes a big difference. Mine was done within 2 weeks of initial consult. With insurance it is a whole different ball game.

Welcome Jeff and good luck. I was self pay. But all Dr.s have their own policies. i didn't have to have any type of pre test except for blood work. I was asked a bunch of questions. I am sure if I snored I would have probably had to have a sleep apnea test done. I talked to my Dr. 1 day and was scheduled for surgery 2 weeks later! I have been banded for over a yr. I love my band. Make sure you have all your research done and research your Dr. I went to a seminar of my Dr.Found out at the seminar he had it done also. I feel so comfortable with him. I can ask him anything cause he's been though it too. Read a lot of these post. they will help you understand the band. Especially the people who have posted a lot. This will help you with questions for you Dr. Keep us posted please.

O.K. this is going to sound like a stupid question:blush: but here goes.....Where would I find Greek Yogurt? I have looked in the yogurt section at the store but didn't see it. I don't like yogurt but there are a couple of recipes that I want to try and they call for Greek yogurt. It there a specific brand/ name? My kids love yogurt but they don't have a clue either.

Woohoo Ebony. I will keep you in my prayers! Sick. I swear you have my ex MIL! Maybe they are sisters. As far as the thyroid goes, I had went to the ER about my back. While doing an MRI and Ex rays they discovered I have a big knot on my thyroid which is cutting off some of my esophagus. Everyone have a blessed weekend.

Went for my orientation today. They are talking about training me for management after I get trained on what they hired me for. they are going to be opening up a new store in a few months and will need managers. Since I have plenty of management experience.... So woohoo upgrade!

I do it on a regular basis with 1 of my exbf. he works at the grocery store where I shop at. We broke up because his family is allergic to fat people. he definatly notices. he has started flirting again. LOL. So I just smile and flirt back a little. Ebony , Sound promising. I'll be keeping you in my prayers about getting the position. Beth, I agree with what Ebony said about you would be the perfect one to help him set up. keeping you in my prayers also for the position. I called to get my appointment set up to see my GP next week about my thyroid. he will be on Vacation next week. He is a walk in Dr. I have been his patient for 13 yrs. he has seen me through a lot. Anyway God is good, I asked if my Dr. would be on vacation or not. Normally I wouldn't of asked, but felt the need to. I would have been upset if I would have drove out there to see him and him not be there. It's not far,20 min, but when your strapped for gas.... So I have to wait a full week. I can't go today because I have orientation today and won't have the money until Monday. I have gained 5 lbs since last week from a combination of eating/ steroids. Trying very hard today to get back on track. I'm going to have to do the 5 day pouch test next week. have to go grocery shopping to get ingredients for my homemade soups. LOL 90 degrees out and I am going to be doing soups! :thumbdown: Everyone have a blessed day and weekend.

I am taking things 1 day at a time. Go next week to see my GP so he can get me into a ENT about my thyroid. Then try to save the money for the neurosurgeon for my back. No word from Ebony yet?
