Almost 3am. Having trouble sleeping. just enough pain to wake me up and keep me awake. I am hoping pain meds kick in quick. I tried to weed whack yesterday. I shouldn't have done that. Oh well live and learn. I also had a very weird dream about my mom who has been dead 13 yrs. That didn't help with the sleep category.

Ebony, I am glad that you have a full weekend ahead of you. That way you won't have time to think about them idiots. I agree with you about having a union rep. around for the meeting. Hopefully the walk with your dog will do you and your band some good. I am getting ready to put together the head traction thingy the chiro. gave me this morning. I'm just praying I don't accidentally hang myself!:cursing: It hangs over a door and has pulleys and a water bag you fill up to equal different weights. Then you have this thing that fits around your head that attaches to the pulley and weight thingy. I am to do this 3 times a day along with icing down. Chat with ya later.

Oh Ebony, I am so sorry your going through more grief at work. My heart is breaking for you hon. I think decency went out in the 80's. It's a "dog eat dog" world out there anymore. It is sad that it is that way. But don't give up hope about the other job. You have a spotless record for 30 yrs. So this shouldn't keep you from any other positions. Any employer will look at your work history and see you have never had any marks against you until now. They should be able to figure out that it wasn't you. That there was trouble in the work place. By the end of the 5dpt you will have lost. Is it time for Aunt Flo maybe? Make sure you are drinking plenty of fluids and eating plenty of Soups and Jello. Don't worry about the calories while doing the liquid part of it. You will stress yourself out and stay hungry. remember with soups they go right through the band so you don't stay full. That's why I say don't count the calories when in this stage of the testing. Every time I got hungry I ate some Soup or jello. If your counting calories then they would add up real quick. I lost 6 lbs when I did the 5dpt. Everyone is different though. Good luck hon. Keep us posted.:scared2:

Rod...I am so glad that your son is doing good after the surgery. It's not an easy thing when a little one has surgery. They don't know what is going on and don't know how to tell you what they're feeling. It's not easy when anyone has surgery but a child is a lot harder.:scared2:

I just make sure with my Protein mixes I almost always add fruit or something to them with ice in the blender. I love to use frozen black cherries with cho. pro. mix. I love blueberries fresh or frozen with my vanilla mix. Wow I haven't heard of Shaklee in yrs. My parents used to sell Shaklee. Thank you Slimmap for the kind words. We are human. Now I am happy at 74degrees in the house. I don't freeze everyone out anymore. I was still getting up between 3 & 4 A.M. until recently. Now it's about 5 A.M. Well not with me doing all these pain meds and muscle relaxers. I actually sleep in when I am on them. I get up between 6 & 7 A.M. Used to be if I slept till 6 my kids thought I was sick and would check on me. MMMM maybe I need to talk to my chiropractor and see if he knows the mojo adjustment? Oh did I mention how cute he is? O.K. for my day.....(I'm writing a book) my sister and her hubby are letting me use their jeep till I get that tire changed. DBL can't do it due to lots of health issues. He has to have another surgery next month. So all is good.....I get to work to find the crew all sitting outside. They got locked out of the restaurant. The manager had left his keys inside and went out to check in the bread delivery. Well 4 co-workers followed him out. The 5th co-worker came out and they all hollered "don't let go of the door" just as she let it go. So they had been waiting 1 hr.( when I got there) for one of the other managers to come let them in. It was another 1/2 hr after I got there when some one came. Both the other managers live a long ways away. Moral of the story, next time I pull up to work and everyone is stuck outside, I'm bringing my happy tail home!:biggrin:After work, I leave and go straight to the free clinic. I had an appointment today at 3:30. I get there at about 2:40. They won't let anyone sign in yet. At 3:15 we can sign in. I find out all appointments are for 3:30. I am #2 on the list. They start calling people back. I am sitting and waiting, still waiting, still waiting.:scared2: I am thinking they are calling you in the order they have you in the appointment book. Then about 5:20 I notice people who didn't have appointments are being taken back.:sneaky: So I asked how much longer before I can go back. They can't find my folder. Then they said I wasn't checked in. I told them I was #2 on the sign in sheet. :mad2: Here someone had checked me off already like I had been seen.:mad: So I finally get out at 6:30. On the way home I stopped and got a couple of cans of fix-a flat. (found out SIL came by and pumped up the tire with his compressor since he forgot to get the door key from DD) Tire is already going flat when I get home. Went to put fix-a flat in tire, the can where the hose fits onto the can explodes all over my hands and car!:cursing: So the best thing about today was I have an appointment to see the free clinics ENT next month. The dr I spoke with today is concerned about the growth on my thyroid because I am a lymphnoma survivor and my thyroid tested fine last yr. She wasn't worried until I said I had it tested 2 weeks before I was banded.:eek: Before that she was saying that I have something-thyroidism. But that is my book. Good night all. morning all. still haven't gotten the tire fixed. SIL didn't get home till late last night. My neighbor still isn't home, so I suspect he is out of town on a business trip. I'm going to call my DSis and see if nephew worked last night or not. If not see if he will come change tire for me. This is killing me not doing it myself. I've done it many times, but I don't want to screw my back up any worse than it is. The 10 lb weight limit is driving me crazy. (not that I wasn't already crazy) Anywho......Ya'll have a blessed day

Your welcome hon. I personally Hate Unjury. To me it is flavorless. It and Kashie are IMHO the 2 nastiest protein drinks I have tried. Sometimes on these threads people get carried away. Sometimes it is because they don't remember what it is like being new. Or they don't remember ever falling off the wagon and asking for help. They have selective amnesia. So they come across as judgmental. I know for a fact I have. I try not to, but it doesn't read the way it sounds in my head. I liked to be called to task for it though. I don't want to hurt anybody. Now if I say I'm going to make you mad then you know I am doing on purpose. If you read a lot of these threads you will see a pattern of who will be nasty most of the time. They're a few people I try to ignore and sometimes I try to make what they said not seem so harsh. So try to not take it the wrong way to often. Good luck with the 5 day pouch test. My tire still hasn't been fixed. My SIL was going to come after work. But he was with his boss and his boss' truck broke down so he is fixing it. There is only 1 man on this street that I talk to and he is gone. Most of my neighbors are elderly females or handy capped, or single parents. The few men on this street acts like jerks a lot of the times. So unless it gets changed I will be with out a job cause I can't get to work. I am looking into becoming a birth doula. I seen something on it today on the internet. I think I would enjoy that. I loved being in the labor and delivery of my dear grandchildren. I love birth. I have to find out how much it will cost for the training. The nearest training is in Nashville next month. When I seen it my interest was really sparked. Who knows maybe someone banded in this earea gets preggers, they might call me! That would be fun.

I followed bandster rules about eating slow. At 15 min. I stopped eating. Usually I found out I was sated and not hungry for a while. I think I ate 4 or 5 times that day. On day 4 I ate 3 times and 1 snack. It does leave room for interpretation though. Good luck with it. Just google the 5day pouch test. It will take you to it. Good luck

I have done it without gaining any back. You just need to watch what your eating after you go off. if you start eating like you did before the test, then yes you will gain it back.

Personal opinion, If it isn't done under Fluro it won't get done!

I am so sorry you are going through this Ebony. I am praying loud and hard for you to hear back from the other position. Hold your head up because you haven't done anything wrong IMHO. I think your supervisor has it out for you and she is pulling all the stunts that she can to make you look bad. I know it is hard not to cry when you have been at a job that you liked at one time, and has now turned into a nightmare. But read my lips:wub: YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE! You are a wonderful, intelligent woman. Don't let them take that away from you hon! It is sad that the higher ups won't look past your supervisor to what you are really capable of and are missing out on because of your supervisor.

Morning all fanny I agree with Susan about someone else keeping them. I eat chocolates right up if I have it. Unfortunately putting a pic of myself on them wouldn't stop me at all. I would just pretend it wasn't there. I actually tried that once with the refrigerator with a picture of me and a pig. Heart sounds like you had a good day yesterday. I posted this on FB but I will post here also. I didn't sleep well last night. I finally started to doze about 5:30. At about 6:00 my neighbor starts weed whacking!:thumbup: I am not a happy camper. Hurting today. I think part of it was I didn't get to ice down yesterday like the Dr. wants me to. After work had to go to my youngest DDs home. She didn't have any baggies or plastic bags to put ice in. Got home about 7:30 or so. Had laundry to do and tried hooking up my TV converter. So I only iced down before I went to work and once last night. Won't happen today. If I need to go take care of DD again today I will come home and grab my ice pouch thingy the Dr. gave me. Well have a blessed day everyone.

It sure has been awhile since anyone posted on here. I have 2 new NSVs. The first is I seen 2 people that I haven't seen in yrs. Seen them at different times and both commented on how much weight I have lost and how good I looked. The next one is I tried on some shirts I have hanging in the closet and 2 more of them fit! YAY ma!
