My favorite thing to eat for breakfast is a package of instant oatmeal, a small fruit cup usually in light syrup or pear juice, and a two tablespoons of fat free pineapple cottage cheese. Mix it all together and throw it in the microwave for about a minute. It is so delicious and fulling.

HI Everyone- I had my first fill the other day what an experience that was. I was asking the PA how it works and she tells me you can feel the port through the stomach and then they just stick the needle in and it is done. Wouldn't you know, I lay down and the PA can't find. Not only can't she find it but she continues to tell me how lumpy my stomach is. Not once but quite a few times. At this point I was just laughing. SHe was telling me that this has never happened to her and my stomach is very lumpy. I wanted to tell her enough already, I get the point. The doctor came in and was able to find it in a few seconds and it was done. I don't feel any restriction so I am going to call and go back for another fill. Keep up the good work everyone. :huggie:

Hi everyone- I was banded on June 7th. I lost 17 lbs in two weeks. I know that is great but I haven't lost anything in a week. Has anyone else experienced that at all? I am not trying to get discouraged but it is a little hard not too.

I was banded on June 7th and just had my post op appointment with my Dr. I explained to her that I was having similiar pains like you are having, as well as pain between my shoulders and she said that it is related to gas from the surgery when they pump your stomach up. I would call your doctor just in case.

Hi All, I will be banded June 13th, by Dr. Vernon in Boston. I am exciting and ready, it has been a long time coming.

Finally! I just got word that I am approved for surgery. :confused: I could not be happier. Surgery is scheduled for June 13th.

UHC is an awful company. I have them right now and the process that I have been going through is just so time consuming. It got to the point where my surgeons office contacted me to get involved. Over the past two weeks I have called them every day and like you have been sent to different departments, nobody knows anything and I can't get a straight answer. Apparently, my doctor's office has sent over my clinical package via Fax and mail 8 times and it was never entered into the system. It has been over a month now and still nothing. Can anything ever go easy? Good luck with things.
