    1 week post op rny

Thanks everyone. I don't see my Dr. Until 2 weeks post op so that's the 27th for me. They had advised me not to weigh myself at home because of the weight gain in the hospital from everything they pushed into me. I am excited to see the numbers when it happens. I notice my face slimming out and my collar bone is more prominent.
  2. So tomorrow marks 1 week post op for my rny. My surgeon had me on clear liquids for the first 5 days. It's very hard for me to get more than 4oz of protein the past few days. I have no hunger and always feel super full just trying to sip protein and water. I'm extremely over the sweet tastes and broths. I have to be on this liquid diet for the next 3 weeks before I'm allowed to move on to the pureed stage. I'm started to feel like I made a huge mistake between the diet and pain. I try to walk and move as much as possible but feel like my heart is going to burst out of my chest at times. I've been monitoring my pulse when slightly active it reaches up to 120 and when sitting at a rest it's about 85, and laying down it drops to 55-60... Please tell me this gets easier. I'm losing my mind 😖

    Protein help!

    Thanks for the help everyone!
  4. 6/13/18 was my gastric bypass surgery. Today is day 1 starting protein shakes. I'm an avid Premium Protein user with no issues pre.op. my first few sips burns my stomach and immediately crampy. Does anyone have this issue or any suggestions?! I don't have any problems with sipping on water. Possibly any suggestions for alternative protein supplements? Maybe I'm lactose intolerant now. I need any suggestions and are much appreciated. THANK YOU!!
