    Slippage

Hi, I had my surgery in March 2007 and have had a lot of heartburn since December 2007. I just found out this week that my band slipped. My doctor wants to wait 2 weeks then re-xray to see if it corrected itself. I am alittle worried about possibly having this surgery done again but I am hopeful that I will be happy with the end results.
  4. Hi everyone, This is my first time on this forum and I'm not exactly sure how to use this site but I'll give it a try. I had my surgery (lapband) on 3/9/07 and have lost approximately 65 pounds total. (about 55 lbs. have been since my surgery, the other 10 pounds were prior to surgery). My band is filled 2.3cc's. I am having difficulty with heartburn. Anytime I eat or especially drink anything, I get indigestion or burping. The heartburn gets really bad during the night, I have to sleep on my back with extra pillows to prop up my head so that I can atleast sleep through the night without getting sick. I have an appointment with my Dr. next week and I think he may loosen my band. I really don't want to have my band loosened because I feel that I need more restriction in order to continue loosing weight. At meals, I never really feel full, I'm just not able to physically eat any more food without getting sick. I do not drink during my meals either. I am happy with the amount of weight that I have lost so far but I still have another 50 pounds to go and I don't seem to be loosing as much as I should be. I work out with a personal trainer 2 to 3 times a week and I also take ZUMBA aroebic classes twice a week. I am not able to eat many carbs but I do seem to have a new SWEET tooth. I am always craving chocolate. I never use to crave chocolate prior to surgery, I was more of a large portion eater than a sweets eater. I am not sure what to do. I think that I am getting plenty of exercise and I really don't overeat. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for listening.
