  1. Oh my goodness! you just gave me sooooo much hope!!! Thank you so much! And yes I was given omeprazole but no anti-gas. I really need that though. I will have to get something for sure!
  2. Thank you very much for all of your advice BajanSleeve! I really appreciate it! I will try what you stated! My incisions are good! Still sore, but not "hot" or red, so no infection yay!

    6 months post op

You look Amazing! Congratulations!!! Keep up the great work!!
  4. I really hope that is the case! Thank you! Is it really true that we can NEVER have any alcohol EVER again?
  5. I have thought about a journal, but I am so sick of this already the last thing I want to do is right it all down! hahaha Maybe its also because it is summer, but geez whenever I leave the house I think about all the things I can't enjoy and possibly won't ever be able to enjoy again. A nice drink on my back deck.....grilling out steaks on the grill! Arghhh!!!! But, I am hoping to have the energy to take long walks and travel more and all those things I haven't been able to do in the recent past. I have to remain focused. Its just not that easy when I am sipping down crappy broth : ) hee hee!
  6. Ugh! A drain for 8 days would seriously be awful! I can have soups and they are ok but everything causes cramping. I am just dealing with it and praying the days go by fast. Anyone out there who thinks surgery is the easy way out for losing weight is completely delusional!!!!
  7. See that is sooooo weird! Good luck today! Hope all goes well!

    Protein shakes

This is a sale on bariatric pal right now. trial sizes for $2.49 each. I have tried most of them. Syntrax is definitely my favorite so far.
  9. yes I was told strictly no Ibuprofen, Aleve etc. No NSAIDS ever again. This is what I am saying. The more I read the more things are all so different from different surgeons. It is all kind of a mess out there.

    Enough??

Its so interesting to see what different programs tell you what you can have. My program told me I absolutely cannot have peanut butter after surgery for at least a couple of months. I feel like it is all becoming so arbitrary. I take as much protein in as I can. I absolutely rely on Premier Protein Clear water. It is expensive but I drink two to three a day and that is 60 grams of protein right there.

    Feeling Quite Miserable

My surgery was 6/6 and I have been quite uncomfortable as well. I am getting to the point of anger actually. Water does not work for me, makes me ill. I drink Premier Protein Clear Raspberry or Fruit punch and I drink Powerade. I have severe cramping each time something does down my throat. It passes but it is really unpleasant. I just tell myself it is temporary but I honestly am getting past my threshold of being able to deal with it. Sorry you feel the same!

    Protein shakes

I will too agree wit Syntrax Nectar. They have so many flavors. I ordered the sample pack and then bought the large caramel Macchiato. I have been very happy with it. I add PBFit to it and it is delicious.
  14. Is anyone in the Indianapolis area interested in forming a meetup group? I know I am going to need support through this journey while my loved ones continue to shovel donuts and steaks and everything they want down their throats while I sit and watch hahaha. You can explain all you can to your friends and family but they won't truly understand what you are going through. I would be very interested in this and would be willing to start the group and even being the mediator as far as facilitating meeting dates and locations and such.
