    band removal

I have only had one fill, and it was over a year ago. It made no difference.:cry I think physiologically I am just not meant to have the band. I'm not sad about it. Having it removed will just be inconvenient and expensive. Oh well.

    band removal

I have several reasons for wanting to take the band out. I need to take Celebrex, which is not good for the band. I can barely get fluids down in the morning, much less any breakfast, because the band is too tight. I spend the rest of the day grazing because I am so hungry from not being able to eat in the morning. By noon I am usually OK, but not always. I could go on, but I really just want it out.

    band removal

I know the band has been a wonderful tool to many people. It just hasn't been a great tool for me, and I would like to have it removed. Has anyone else had their band removed? What was your experience?

    Is it too late now?

:cry I was banded over 1 year and 7 months ago. I had lost almost 50 pounds. Now I have gained almost 30 pounds back. I am one of those people who is very tight in the morning and fairly loose in the evening. So, I made up for not being able to eat early, by eating most of the evening. My choices were not good. I also like to drink fluids with my meals. I always have. I have exercised very little due to chronic pain in both knees. If I changed my ways now, could I still be successful? Has anyone else ever been in a situation where they found initial success, then failure and then success?

    swallow/gurgle

I don't get it. Ever since I got my band, I have gurgled. Even if it is just saliva, when I swallow I gurgle, although if it is just saliva it isn't very loud. I find it embarrassing. In the morning I am VERY tight, but that eases up as the day goes. The gurgling continues though. Towards the end of the day I start getting tighter again. Does anyone else have this problem?
  8. I have never had a fill and I have had my band over one year. I was banded in Mexico and when I came home I had swollen closed and was very dehydrated. I spent 5 days in the hospital, but since then things have been fine. I've lost abot 45 pounds, and decided to get my first fill. Also, I would mention that I am really tight in the morning, but by evening I can eat just about anything. My doctor is going to be very conservative with the fill, and I was told to be very careful about what I eat for a few days. Any advice from anyone? Is anyone else tight like this in the morning?
