    No insurance

My insurance doesn’t cover WLS, I have been thinking about it for a while and saw a couple of bariatric doctors until I found one I liked, total cost is $13,900 but I feel really good with my decision as when I went for my Pre-op test at the hospital, one of the nurses commented on my surgeon. She basically said that he was very good at making sure his patients were completely informed on the procedure, the risks and the benefits. She said she sees a lot of these surgeries from several different Bariatric surgeons a she likes my surgeon the best.

Picked up my 3 prescriptions as I have surgery Monday. The loaded me up with Ondansetron for nausea, Omeprazole for any acid reflux, and liquid Tylenol with Codeine.

    I feel so down

Even with the sleeve, it is not an overnight weight loss to goal, you need to give yourself time and continue proper portion eating, don’t stretch the pouch and don’t forget the exercise. Take time to lose it correctly and you’ll be happier in the end!! Stay positive!
  10. Shortmocha is giving sound advice, take it to heart and really consider talking to a therapist. If your head isn’t in the game now, then surgery is pointless. It is hard and each of us have those triggers, but knowing what they are and how to avoid them will be the key to success. Good luck and God Bless!
  11. I’d schedule it at the earliest possible date. If you try to accommodate everyone else’s schedule you will never find a good time.
  12. I have been looking at having the Sleeve done for over a year, finally bit the bullet, went to the doctor, since I’m self pay, only had to do the dietician meetings and classes, and get EKG clearance. At first my hubby was very leery, but I think I’ve shown him my determination by following the pre op diet very closely. He finally has come around and will be taking off to be with me on Monday at the hospital! I’m excited to be on this journey!
