How do you feel about a mosque at "Ground Zero"?
loserbob replied to loserbob's topic in Rants & Raves
How far away is the middle east, ah, still isnt far enough! -
Tell me how putting this near ground zero is going to help me or anyone else learn about islam. I could learn just as much if it where 10 miles from gz. Its going to make non muslim Americans hate them even more! I havent heard anyone other than muslims say they are in favor except you, which leads me to my next question, are you mus, oh never mind.

Because it doesnt offend you! Because Im afraid of getting blown up!
-
That is a great politically correct answer and its also a bunch of BS! I think we should put a memorial in NagaSAKI or Hiroshima. Put it 20 blocks away and nobody will care! They have to know its a sore topic and bad idea. Im thinking you are the one who needs help(if you believe this. There better be protests against this!

Yah, this really sounds bad after reading now(after being awake for awhile). Even after clearer thoughts, Im very pissed at the Idea, its definitely a slap in the face and if you feel its ok then you really need help! My wife also told me its not Obamas fault but you cant tell me he cant stop it in this situation! Im going to check out that article. -
I did this backwards.

I have a 1966 Thunderbird with a 428cj engine,345 hp stock. It was given to me by my uncle who had no place to store it after it was left to him by my grandfather. Its in great shape, its been stored on a heated garage since 1968 when my grandfather bought it with 11000 miles, it now has 40000 miles. Its been stored in my garage for about 3 years now, I dont have the time or money to get it on the road. It needs carb work and painted(my uncle had it restored in 1987 but it was a poor job). Its an old mans car the way it sits, I want to make it more of a muscle car, headers, flowmaster, new 4-barrel carb, bigger cam, wider sport tires and rims, fancy paint job. Im not concerned about keeping it stock, I will never let it go, it has too much sentimental value! God I wish I had the money I would love to get it on the road! Its easy to forget about being stashed away in my garage! Ive always been a sports car guy. Ive had Mustangs, mainly Camaros, 1970 1/2 z28, 1977 camaro rs, 1980 camaro z28,1991 Camaro rs, 1980 Mustang Cobra with 2.3 turbo-charged engine, believe it or not it was very fast but alot of vacume problems. The funniest thing was I always loved these cars but never kept them long. My uncle told me they where novelty cars. I traded my 1991 Camaro on a 1995 pick-up truck because my friend who was a truck person told me I wouldnt want to get rid of a truck as fast as my sports cars. The truck(4x4) was the first vehicle I paid off and kept until it rusted out and no longer passed inspection. I think it was the security of 4 wheel drive because too this day I still drive 4x4s or awds, Santa Fe, Subaru Outback!

Please explain the last part, from 9-11 on, Im not understanding, again it must be the accent thing! Explain the "in Iraq already" and farce part please!

Also, if your talking about the poor old lady who had her husbands body exumed(and other relatives)and kept in her living room, ashe was lonely! If you live to 80-90 you have no choice but to talk to dead people, more than likely your friends are dead! Dont ask, I dont even know what the hell Im talking about!

Agree 100%!

And somehow you fit holy in there, "oly", im assuming meant holy! I also feel the anger but Im not willing to let people die because they are doing what they need to do to survive! What if this country had your beliefs when your ancestors came here, where would you be? The only real, 100% Americans are the Native Americans, hence native, who really got screwed! Like I said I agree with the context of what your saying, we're here legally but I will do whatever it takes for my loved ones and I to survive whether its legal or not! I dont begrudge anybody the right to survive, ie medical care, Its the execution, or lack there of the laws that are the problem! Why is there such a problem for this country to complete "the fence", Why dont we have adequate security(nat guard, police, etc) patrolling the border? POLITICS!!!, whether its dem or rep, it doesnt matter. We can go across this huge world to democratize and secure whole foreign countries(Japan, Germany,Iraq, S.Korea)but for some reason we cant secure, or dont want to secure our own borders, even after 9-11!!! We've prevented China from invading Tiawan in the mid to late 90s for Christs sake but we cant stop the damn Mexicans from crossing the border, why is that?

Patty, Im waiting, where the hell are you?

Ill accept it as my opinion, well said!!!

Should people barely over 200 lbs or below 200 get Lapband or any WLS...?
loserbob replied to Froggi's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
You make a good point, once you reach a "healthy" bmi does the insurance company stop coverage? -

loserbob replied to Froggi's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
The limits are put in by insurance companies who are paying, they'll pay if its causing health problems(which in this case I actually agree). I believe anyone can have it if they're self pay. How many drs. do you know who would turn down $25000 for 45 min. of work? -

Yes, bash, yes, because! Again, you still had to come here to read, even though your unhappy with the topic! Howard Stern said he makes enemies because they're more prone to listen to him.

I watched a show about Iraq the other day, it was filmed in 2006 during the worst time of the war(civil war, sectarian violence) and it followed everyday life of a couple Iraqi men, which could have very easily passed for Americans, no accents even though they where born and raised there. They went to Syria to escape the bloodshed but after being there for awhile they returned to Iraq because they missed it and one even said it was the best country in the world. Im sorry, I dont know who theyre polling because I never get questioned but Im happy where Im at. My sister-in-law is from Heidelberg, Germany(not sure if I spelled it right), I asked her how the rest of the world felt about us, I told her It seemed to me the rest of the world was jealous, she said she wouldnt call it jealousy, its just that they want what we have! Sounds like jealousy to me! I wrote it off as a language barrier because thats the excuse she always used when she says something offensive. Theres no other country in the world Id rather raise my family, be treated for a life threatening illness, And most of all, we lead, the rest of the world follows, not being gung ho American, its just a fact!

Actually I heard he's staying in the Crawford Texas area in some ranch!
