Hi formykids, I had an endoscope last week & the Dr said I didn't have a pouch either. Next week I'm having a barium swallow done by my banding Dr, so hopefully he will work out what is up with my band. I was banded Sept 2005 & have only lost 11kg. I have also had a baby in this time as well. My band worked before the pregnancy, but it hasn't worked since. I like you am frustrated :confused2: as well !

I was banded in Sept 2005, lost 10kg, fell pregnant with my 3rd baby, had the baby, & haven't lost anything since. My problem is that my band dosn't give me that full feeling. In fact I haven't had that feeling since I fell pregnant. If I have the tinest of fill's, I can't get food down, so I have the tinest unfill, & I can eat more than a horse. I have had a barium swallow under X-ray and the DR said all looks fine. This band has been nothing but frustrating for me. I think I have about 2.3ml in a 10ml band. I am telling you my story in the hope that one of you out their may have had this problem & have overcome it. If so, I would really love to know what your outcome was!!! Sick & tired of this journey -:confused2:

My god, your eyelashes as well. Hope mine don't fall out, they are my best asset(black & long). I hope they can do something for you & the baby. You poor thing, you still have over 3mths to go. Can you get anything down at all??? FRUSTRATING For lunch I tried some left over spag bol from last nite, I managed to get a little down, then had to let the rest come back up. Off to have another cup of coffee now, love my coffee, & I know I won't have to bring it back up. Hi Angel, I did feel alot more restricted than usual when I was pregnant. I was 126.5kg when I fell pregnant, & 120kg when I gave birth. I got down to 113kg after the birth, but I think that was from being in & out of Children's Hospital Westmead with our baby as he was sick & I couldn't eat...Now that i'm back home the weight came back as well. I'm now back up to 120kg. I had a 0.5ml fill 4wks ago & that's when all the trouble started...I now have 3mls in a 10ml band. Surely it's not ment to be this frustrating, I was lead to believe that I would get full alot, not bring my food up alot. My hair has been falling out now for about 2 months, so instead of fighting with food all day, iv'e decided to drink protien diet drinks & take some Vitamins. Last night for tea I actually got some spag bol down, &, I didn't need to bring it back up. I guess thats a start. Hi Angel. I'm from the other side of the Blue Mountain's & I had my surgery done by "THE SYDNEY INSTITUTE FOR OBESITY SURGERY" at Ashfield. I was banded in Sept 2005 & then fell pregnant in Dec 2005.I gave birth to little Joey in Oct last year. I lost 8kgs while pregnant I have 3mls in a 10ml band & I have only lost 16kg. I also tend to get alot of things stuck, which is why i haven't been back for a fill lately. This band really frustrates me. Because I tend not to be able to get the good food down, I tend to go for the easy "no good" foods, ie:icecream, chips, etc. Some days I can eat really good, like meat, chicken or bread, & then on other day's I can't even get Soup down. (we may have the same Dr lol). Most nights I have to let my dinner come back up as it usually get's stuck...so is this normal or not??? Can anyone let me know ?? Good lock with your pregnancy Angel. Hi, I was banded in Sept last year & had it done Thur the Sydney Institute for Obesity Surgery in Ashfield. They actually do the surgery at the Holroyd Private Hospital in Guildford. I had my surgery done by Dr Michael Talbot. I didn't have any thing go wrong, & I've lost weight since having the op done. I've found every one at the SIOS wonderful. They are very quick. From the time I made my first phone call to the time of my surgery, it only took 2wks. Good luck with your decision, & feel free to ask me more questions if you wish. Congratulations Jodi. Your kids are so adorable. Well done on your band baby. My band baby is due in 15wks. All has gone well so far. Have actually lost 7kg since falling pregnant. Lynda, I know how you feel. I was banded for 3 months when i fell pregnant. I had alot of mixed feelings & alot of questions. Don't get me wrong, i want to be pregnant, (this will be our 3rd) but i also wanted to loose some weight with the band.... I'm now 3 months pregnant & still have my fill of 2.5ml. You will get your first fill, but it wont be until your babys born. Good luck & keep in touch... Trish I'm also an Aussie, in NSW

Hi Kellie, Was good to hear from you. I had a look at your web page & it's very helpfull. How on earth did you find the time... You have done so well on your weight loss, congratulations. You seem like the kind of person that would be a lot of fun (on or off the drink) lol. It's a pitty you live in Newcastle, would of been a scream to catch up on each others stories over a cuppa (bit far to travel just for a cuppa) I rang the Dr yesterday & i'm back down to Ashfield next Thursday for my 4th fill. I have 2.5mls at the moment. So here's to better restriction, & wahlahhh, i'll be on my way..........Hope your better half is home real soon Trish 136.5/126.5/70 start: 27/09/2005
