Cpurvis, Have you taken measurments at all? I was discouraged by my results one month, but my Nurse suggested I start keeping track of my measurements. With all the walking you are doing, it may be possible that you are gaining muscle and losing inches, rather than pounds. I haven't had a PB yet (and I was banded almost 4 months ago...7.2cc in a 10cc band), but you may want to talk to the doctor about that. The band works best with solid foods, so if you can't get solids down, then that may answer your question. If you are eating only mushies and/or liquids, then you may be consuming too many calories. As for what lanejane said about having no restriction...just wait. I didn't really feel any restriction after the first 2 fills, but I just had fill number 3 on May 16th, and I think I am very close to my "sweet spot". Trust me...you will start feeling it more and more with every fill. Just some things to think about...good luck and don't get discouraged!

Hey! I just joined LBT not too long ago, and I am so happy to have another resource to help me along the journey. I was banded at St. Francis Hospital (Federal Way) back in February, but since I work in Kirkland it is almost impossible for me to get to the support groups they hold. Fortunately, they just opened a new office up here at Evergreen, so when they start offering the groups there, I will surely attend. Until then...at least I have all of you willing to share your experiences and stories! Oh...and for the record...Dr. Srikanth did a wonderful job. If anyone is interested in more info, I am always willing to share.

Hello to everyone! I am new to the forum, but have already come across some really insightful information. I am 28 years old & 5'10"...from the Seattle area. I was banded on February 6, 2008 at St. Francis Hospital in Federal Way, Washington (Dr. Srikanth). Surgery went really well. Unfortuanately I developed a blood clot in my leg, and subsequently 2 clots in my lungs, and was hospitalized for a week. I hope I don't scare off any potential bandsters! These can happen after any surgery, but I am wondering if any other Bandsters suffered from the same complication? So far my Lap-Band experience has been great! With the Protein shakes and all the Vitamins, I feel wonderful. To date I have lost 59 pounds. For the first time in a long time I have been able to work out and actually see some results. I haven't had much time to read through the different postings, but so far I have found the recipe section to be very helpful. Thank you to all for sharing your experiences and wisdom...this is a great support system!
