Melissa I have been thinking about the lap band for a while. I have vacillated because I am very clear that mostly I eat for non-physical reasons, usually boredom or stress-relief. I obsess about food all the time, although in all other areas of my life I am very high functioning, motivated and happy. My goal with the lap band is that once I cannot physically eat so much, I will just adapt to it simply because I have to. I know myself, and I will not allow myself to throw up or "eat around it" with soft foods or soda. Those are not challenges for me. My question for you, if you can help with this, is that once a person simply CANNOT physically overeat, does the head hunger (what I experience as obsessive thoughts about food) lessen? For me, it's literally an obsessive thoughts issue, which BTW, lessens with Wellbutrin, but always comes back after about two months of being on it. Thank you so much, Simone
