Just wondering how much did y'all lose in the first week? Today is my 7th day since my bypass surgery and I'm down 11 pounds. Now idk if that's normal because I remember that with my sleeve it took me like 3 weeks to lose 11 pounds. I mean I'll take them but just wondering what's everyone first week weight lose?

You can't compare your losses to anyone else. Everyone is going to lose at different rates, from different body parts for all sorts of reasons. So, start now, stop focusing on weight and how others are doing, it'll end up just making you frustrated or unhappy. Stick with your own targets and goals, and be sure to keep your body fat %'s in mind as well, so many people neglect to track this metric and it is really important to do so. I've been stuck at the same weight for more than a week now, but my body fat % is dropping each day, so I know I'm doing something right. Revisions lose differently than first timers, partly because we already started off with some restriction and added the malabsorption. I was down 10.5 lbs after my first 7 days post op.

Had my revision gastric bypass surgery May 29th but now I'm soooooo second guessing myself not that I can go back or anything. I'm just so scared of the aftermath. 5 days out I'm really having a hard time getting my liquids in. I'm breaking my head thinking of what I can eat on my puree diet. I think maybe I'm just being to hard on myself. Just needed to vent. Any advise will help. TIA

I loved the pre-made soups at Target. The ones I liked are in cartons on the soup aisle. They're very good. I liked the roasted red pepper and the butternut squash. It was nice to have some savory things to eat.

It gets better. I was at my wits end by the end of the 1st week of purees. Just stick with it and once you start getting cleared for soft, solids and then finally raw foods, it makes the struggle that much more tolerable. *IT WILL GET BETTER*!
