    Water?

I am about 7 weeks post op and just last weekend I was finally able to drink plain water without feeling sick. It came after an extremely hard workout and the flavored water made me nauseous and I drank regular without issue! Definitely try different temps (room temperature to slightly cool works best for me, cold is a no go lol) Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Any June 2018 Sleevers in Here?!

Yea, I thought it was weird too, my cycle came a week early and I'm on BC pills. But didnt have the bad stomach cramps from ice chips that you are experiencing. I hope the pain gets better quickly! Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

  5. Matt, I am definitely using the following quotes: "Don't focus on the now, focus on the goal" and "Embrace the struggle and revel in conquering it." Thank youuu!! Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. James that was amazing advice, thank you so much for sharing and I will start implementing this today (given that I only have a week to go)! Thanks again!! Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I am wishing you well and lots of success on your upcoming revision! That pic was good angle and great lighting lol. I have about 175lbs to lose, but doc says I will only lose about 130lbs and I want to prove him wrong lol.

    To tell coworkers or not?

I also manage a team and have chosen not to tell them that I am getting WLS. I don't want the eyes on me, the questions, the opinions. This was already a hard enough decision and a very personal one. I'm 1 week to surgery, so I will find out in the months to come if I made the right decision.
  10. I have researched and researched, prayed and prayed, and I have been given a surgery date for 1 week away. This has happened significantly fast than I imagined (2 months from the time I visited doc and insurance gave approval). I go for my pre-op appointments tomorrow and reality is setting in that my life will be changing drastically, for the 2nd time in less than a year, as I have a baby now too. Most people would be like yayyyy, but I am a ball of different emotions right now. I am excited, terrified (though I am trying to tell myself fear is not of God and if God is for me who can be against me), nervousness, anxiousness, knots in my stomach, nauseous, joy, gratefulness. Of course thoughts of "what if I fail" creep in. Any advice on how to deal with the emotions, the healing after the surgery and overall life after the gastric sleeve? Thanks in advance!!
