I am with you! I hope someone else has more info. Mine is for reflux.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I am afraid as I almost died after my sleeve. 5 hospitalizations, intensive care, and then sent to a more experienced hospital. I had to pay for my mortgage (single mama) but live with my parents for awhile. I had a feeding tube and it was a mess. Infections, blood clots, you name it, it happened. I just can’t have that happen again. It was the worst 6 months of my life.

I am the opposite. I have to do bowel prep but not the 2 week liquid diet. I had the sleeve in February of 2014 and am converting to bypass on 6/26 due to damage from reflux. I am glad there are other converters!! I am super scared!!

You are still in that perfect honeymoon period where you can turn this around!! I had the sleeve in 2014 and I did great. I got lower than my goal, but then life got hard. I ate “slider foods” as they feel better going down than dense protein. I became obsessed with frozen coffees that are full of sugar. I hurt my neck and I had an ovary removed, the other tied, and had major hormonal changes. Boom, 40 pounds back on. It’s a struggle!! I am converting to bypass due to damage from severe reflux, not the weight gain. I am also looking at it as another chance to do it right. I refuse to fail.

I am June also, but I am a conversion. I am new here so I didn’t see if there are any conversion stories. I had the sleeve in 2014 and had a lot of complications but came out successful. Unfortunately, my reflux has gotten bad and my endoscopy showed quite a bit of damage. I am converting to bypass on 6/26, two days before my 40th birthday 🤦🏻‍♀️
