Thanks for starting a July thread Drews! Where are all of our Mayster buddies? Our threads have been pretty quiet. Don't worry, you will get to Onederland soon! You can do it! Congrats on getting back on those skates. I'm excited for you able the skating and the trainer! I am at 192! Woohoo! Life is good! I have really been rampong up the exercise and wacthcing what I eat. I am sceduled to have a fill on July 31st, but I may cancel because I'm going to the beach a couple of weeks after that and I don't want to be miserably tight while out of town. After the beach I have a bachelorette trip to go on in September and a wedding to help with and I'm off to Vegas the first of October. I hope to be in the 170s by then (see my Vegas Challenge ticker). Then next thing I know it will be time for Thanksgiving and Christmas! I would love to be at goal by then and deciding if and when I'm gonna need cosmetic surgery. (I'm thinking I will need a lower body lift, breast lift and my arms fixed.) Check in Maysters! What's going on with you guys??

What weight for regular size clothing??
kim2bhealthy replied to KarenG.'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Okay - I've been on a little bit of a shopping spree lately (love those end of summer, getting prepared for fall sales, hello, its July 6th!!), anyway... I am 5'6.5" tall and weigh 192. I just bought 4 blouses at Kohl's in the Missy's Department, size XL and a jean jacket in Missy's XL and some casual pants in a Missy's Large. I also just bought a bunch of stuff at Old Navy.. jean capri's in a 14 and some cool camoflage capris in a 12!!!and some tshirts in a XL or XXL. I have large arms, and a belly that just won't go away... I am solidly into Missy's sizes on the bottom and crossing over from Women's size 1X to XL Missy's on top. I feel that I will solidly be in the Missy's department in the next 5 - 10 lbs. On a side note... I now have a problem with shopping with my mom, we always shop together in the Women's or Plus Size Department and now I ditch her to go to the Missy's, makes me feel guilty for some reason. It isn't anything that she says or does, it's just that I feel bad... I'll get over it. Oh, have I mentioned how much cheaper clothes are when you aren't shopping in the Women's Department? Unbelievable! I got several t-shirts and couple of blouses and three pairs of capris/shorts for $116.00!! That would have been about $250.00 at a plus size store. I have managed to not go into a Lane Bryant in months, which was a goal of mine. Life is good! -

Hey Maysters! How is everyone? I hope all is well. I haven't posted on here lately... life has been busy! Marz - that fluctuating 2 pounds can drive ya crazy can't it? Good luck! How is the family? Did your doc have any words of wisdom about your "slump" Congrats on riding your bike and best of luck beating the sweets, I struggle with that as well. Myra - Hope everything works out with the slip. Wow Marci!! What cute babies! Congrats again! Neil, I must say that you are looking awesome! Is it difficult to maintain? Drews - Where are ya girlie? I hope you are doing well with your knee post surgery. Alicia - How is it going girl? How is that last fill treating you? How many cc's do you have now? How exciting, a baby in your future, best of luck! Anyone heard from Paladin or 3loves? Wonder how the move went. Catch up guys, I miss ya! I'm down to 197 now. WOOHOOO!!! I've been plateaued the last couple of weeks, but I think the scales are moving again the last couple of days. I have another fill scheduled at the end of July. Hopefully that one will help me to drop the last 40 or so pounds. Wow, I can't believe I only have 40 pounds to lose. My 36th birthday is July 24th and I'd like to be in the 180's by then. I have a family vacation to the beach in August and a wild and crazy girl's trip to Vegas in October that I've gotta look good for! I WOULD LOVE to be close to goal by Vegas! How awesome would that be? Hope all is well!
-
Hey Guys! How goes it? I see you guys are eeking ever closer to Onederland! Way to go! I'm checking in at 197 today. Woohoo! I think I'm starting into a losing period again after a couple of plateau weeks. Wish me luck! Victoriana - congrats on being sooo close. You can do it! Stacy - It wont be long sister! Keep it up! Where is everyone else? Check in guys! Fluffer, where are ya? Have a great week folks!
-
Hey Onederland Warriors! How goes it? Congrats to Jaqui and Dynamo on your losses! Keep it up! Fluffer, hope the fill is treating you well! Well... I've finally started moving the scale again.. after being stuck on 199 for a couple of weeks, I'm now at 198. I saw my band doc (his assistant) on Monday and they are very happy with my progress so far.. I go back to see them in six months and have another adjustment scheduled at the end of July. OMG Yesterday! I had only my second ever PB and it was AWFUL!! I was eating Thai food (cashew nut chicken, yummo) and about 6 bites into it, I knew I was in trouble. I was yacking with my lunch buddies and not eating slowly enough, chewing enough or something, or heck maybe it was the rice (I ate this same meal one day last week). About two hours later and after several trips to the bathroom all my lunch had come back up! EEEEEK!! I've been on liquids since then because everything was irritated and swollen. LESSON LEARNED!!! TAKE TINY BITES< EAT SLOWLY AND CHEW UNTIL GOO!! A less painful reminder would have worked, ya know? Hope all is well! Check in guys!
-
Fluffer - I am worried about you girl! Why can't your doc get you to a happy medium with your fills? You are eighter barfing constantly or can eat way too much. What is the deal with your fill doc? Perhaps you should consider finding a new one?! I hope you are doing well and don't sweat the pizza thing, tomorrow is a new day. Now get that fill... but get a moderate one. Please check back in soon. How is it going Onederland warriors? Where are you guys? Keeping up the gret work, I hope! Have a wonderful weekend!
-
:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:Wow :wow2:Guys! Congratulations !:clap2::clap2::clap2: I am soo proud of you Paulx and Teachlady! :huggie: :waytogo:You have done an awesome job! Ain't Onederland grand? :cheer2:Come on guys we can do it!!!

Hello! Onederland Warriors! Hope everyone had a great weekend! Congrats Tootarts! You made it! Way to go!!! Liberty! You will be there in no time! Keep up the great work! Well.. I'm still hovering around 199! I haven't lost in the last 2 weeks, but I had my T.O.M, and since I lost like 8 lbs the week before that.. I'm not gonna sweat it, ya know? Anytime I drop a signifigant amount of weight in a short period of time, it seems like it takes my body a while to recover and start letting go of the weight again. Hopefully next week I'll start losing again! Keep it up Warriors! We can do this!
-
Hey Maysters! I'm checking in as well... hovering around 199, but I'm on my T.O.M. so who knows how much Fluid I'm retaining. I need to take some one year photos, but haven't gotten around to it yet. I am still exercising 3 days a week for a total of 6 hours and I've also been walking 2 miles a day on my "off exercise" days. We got my parents pool open last week so I should be swimming laps in a couple of days. I'm feeling good and can't believe it has been a year since my surgery! I feel sooo much better and look so much better. Last week I had two people that I have known for years(and have seen at least a couple of times a year) not recognize me! Wow, that is wierd! Thanks to all you Maysters for all of the support and encouragement over the year. Here's to a successful year # 2! Go Maysters! Duckie - Congrats on the grandbabies! So your daughter lives in Atlanta? You'll only be about an hour and a half from me! Be prepared its already hot here in the south and D_R_Y_! We need rain! I hope you have an awesome visit while you are here. Don't spoil those babies too much! Myra - Congrats on being able to walk so much! Wow, how far you have come! You go girl! Drews - Where are ya sister? How was the surgery? Hope all is well!! Keep up the great work Maysters! We can all be at goal this year!

On a side note - what is up with LBT ? I can't edit a post without it putting all that extra junk in it! Sorry guys! I guess I need to proof read my posts better before hitting the post reply button.

Hey guys!

Fluffer - I'm confused. It sounds like your band has slipped... I thought that any movement from where it should be was a slip? What is your doc gonna do now? I'm sooo sorry that you are going through this. Best of luck sister! I know it is difficult without a fill, but try to make good food choices.

Paulax - you are almost here! You can do it! Come on in the water is warm here in Onederland!

-
Yes! You should kekep something like phenegrin or zofran on hand. I had a stomach virus a while back and I'm really glad that I had zofran to keep me from vomitting a lot and potentially making my band slip. Call the doc!
-
Hey guys! I hope everyone had a safe and happy Memorial Day! Thanks for all the kind congrats! I'm still hovering on 199 today! I have to admit that I didn't make the best food choices this weekend... bbq, 1/2 hotdog (no bun), potato salad, baked beans, chips, brownies, strawberry pretzel salad, reeses pb cups, and I topped it all off last night with a scoop of Rocky Road ice cream(after I walked 2 miles w/some friends)!!! EEEK! Well, today is a new day! I think I deserved a weekend of eating bad, and heck, I didn't gain any weight! I ate whatever I wanted, but not a lot! I love my band! Okay.... so far today I've had a low-carb carnation instant breakfast and looks like tuna for lunch. I'll be good this week and get my weight-loss kick started again. I had my one year bandaversary on Saturday and was at my goal of 199, so life is pretty good right now. How is it going everyone? Hope you are all losers this week!
-
Hey guys! Marquita - :welcomeB: You have done a great job with your weight loss! Dynamo - You are a very wise, thoughtful person! They'll be noticing before long! I had one guy in my office to ask my friend if I had lost weight after over 6months of being banded... she was like "duh! she's lost like 80 pounds!". He was the only person that hadn't said anything to me about it. Some people are oblivious. EVERY day I get compliments or questions about my weight loss. It is awesome. I thought I wouldn't want to tell people how much I've lost or how much I currently weight, but I do! I know people are doing the math in their heads, but I don't care. 317 was a long time ago. Keep up the great work! Fluffer - You are doing great Jen! Keep up the stepping sister. How is the unfill treating you? Are you able to eat now? Hope so! Jaqui - Hope you are feeling better! Clynnc - Thanks! :update: ON ME!!! I stepped on the scales this morning and it said 199.2!!! Wahoo!! I gotta see it for a couple of days to believe it but it said 199.2! 199.2! 199.2! I'm gonna take a piccture and post it on here for you guys next time ! ONEDERLAND< I HAVE ARRIVED!! I like the view from here, you guys gotta join me soon! Come on Onederland Warriors!!
-
Hey Maysters! Drews - Thanks! Good luck on your surgery today!:gluck: Keep us posted sister. Here's to a speedy recovery! Alicia - You are beautiful! Great pics. It is amazing how different you look! You go girl! How is your fill treating you so far? Best of luck!:grouphug:

Hey guys! :update: Well This morning I weighed and I'm at 200.2!! I'm soooo close to Onederland. Hopefully I'll be there soon! Fran - Congratulations! You've done an awesome job with your weight loss. You should be very proud of yourself! Drews and Michelle - You guys are sooo right. It is really difficult to not get all wrapped up in the numbers! I think once I get solidly into Onederland I'm gonna try to start weighing only monthly. I don't relish in what I have lost because I'm always thinking about what I have yet to lose. Every time someone asks me how much weight I've lost I tell them, but I always add "but I've got another -- pounds to lose". I have to stop doing that! Big As Life - You are really close to Onederland, keep it up and you will be there in just a short while! Good luck! Paulax - WOW 203! You are kicking butt! Keep it up! Dynamo - Hey! I'm not sure about the heart burn stuff.. is your esophogus ( sp?) irritated? I had what I thought was a little bit of heart burn in the last couple of weeks, but I finally realized it was sinus drainage making my throat sore. Could that be it? The heart burn usually starts in your chest area. Do you get this feeling after you eat, or when? Don't worry, I'm sure its nothing.
-
Fluffer! I am soooo proud of you! You are doing a great job! Good luck at your WW weigh in. Keep going sister, you can do it. YOU ARE A WARRIOR! Clynnc - Don't sweat the swing on the scales.. could be water retention... have you eaten a lot of salt? Chin up sister! That scale will be down soon! Annie - I'm glad you had the slight unfil and I'm glad that you are eating and getting re-hydrated. I hear you on the sweet-spot... I'm hoping that the 2.75 cc fill that I got last week will see me well into Onederland! Keep up the great work and congrats on getting 10+ cups of water in.. awesome! Drews- Glad you are here! I'm sorry that you are frustrated with your weight. I know the knee thing is a hendrance.. have you had your surgery yet? When you get to where you can exercise again, that weight will come off! Stay strong, we are rooting for our rollergirl! Tootarts - 3 pounds to go!? Great job! I'm soo excited for ya! Keep it up! Later Warriors! Resist that junk, drink your water and exercise if you can!
-
Annie - Congrats on the weight loss! How are you feeling now? Did you get an unfill? I know that had to be miserable with the travelling and all. I know my band always gets super-tight the day before I start my period. I actually scheduled this last fill for just after my period so that I wouldn't have to deal with increased restriction along with my TOM at the same time. Hope you are able to eat now! Get hydrated sister! Jaqui - thanks so much for the encouragement! Sorry you have had a virus, I had one of those shortly after my third fill... no fun! Feel better soon! Don't worry the weight will drop off again once your body returns to normal! Drink lots of water! Clynnc - Thanks! Yep... I find it easier to behave when I have incentive like that IPOD. I can't wait! Where is everyone else??? Drews - you out there?
-
Hello Onederland Warriors! How was your weekend? Hope all is well! :update: I am checking in with a weight of 200.8! Wahooo! I can smell Onederland!!! I wanted to be there by my one year bandaversary date which is this Saturday, May 26th. Wish me luck! Wow, I can't believe it has been a year! Check in guys! Have a great, losing week! :cheer2:
-
Myra - I'm so sorry to hear about this slip... I hope that everything works out and you can keep your band. Great idea on the family meal thing. Best of luck and please keep us posted. Well guys.. I'm down to 200.8 lbs today. I wanted to be at 199 by my one year Bandaversary on Saturday.. wish me luck! Gotta get that Water in and watch those calories. I'll add a ticker for the 4th of July Challenge after Saturday. Have a great week Maysters!

Puddin - I just want you to know that I can relate to how you feel... going from the invisible fat girl to the desireable, sexy girl is difficult to wrap one's mind around. I've been ignored my entire life... no high school boyfriend, no college boyfriend.. just everyone's buddy. As the weight comes off I become a little less invisible. I am obviously a little freaked out by the attention, but dammit after being invisible all these years, its nice to be seen isn't it? I thank you for sharing your struggles and I don't judge you. You are obviously an intelligent, hard working, determined young lady with a wonderful moralistic and religious foundation, you WILL pull it together. I have great faith in you. Thanks again for sharing your struggles and know that I am here if you need a friend. We deserve to show ourselves all the respect that we show others. Just respect yourself and your beliefs, it will pull you through.
-
Hey Stacey! Great to hear from ya! Congrats on dropping those pounds, that is awesome! Keep it up. Start thinking about how you are going to reward yourself for hitting Onederland.... it won't be long!
