Where do you find your vitamin supplements?
Wanda247 replied to paulamelton's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The first vitamins which was the chewable ones right after surgery I got from Walgreens and CVS, after finishing the chewable ones I got the pill form from Walmart and they are working just fine for me. I’m taking a multi vitamin, B12 and calcium. CVS and Walgreens always have sales so when I run out I’ll check them out. Look for sales 🙂 -
Congrats!! That’s awesome and this is only the beginning. Keep up the great hard work and welcome to the losers bench 👍🏾

I totally agree with @FancyChristine15 I had surgery for health reasons and the surgery has resolved my biggest complaint which was Type II diabetes, I'm completely off of all meds and I feel wonderful!! I know I will get to the weight where I want to be in time but happy for me is when I went to my PCP I had blood work done 3 months after surgery and my numbers were normal, my doctor and I both got teary eyed...she said this surgery did exactly what it needed to do for you!! she saw me struggle with my weight and try everything possible so yeah that defines my Happy Now!! btw: That's a great question for people to really think about 🙂

Back on the road and onto puréed food
Wanda247 replied to vic91218's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi there...considering your job situation I really think you have the basics to keep you on track, when you get bored with those food items go on the Pinterest app to find more food ideas so you don’t get bored with the same things...variety is key!! You want to feel that you are not depriving yourself of food, there are so many foods that you can enjoy and feel satisfied with your new tool. Make sure you get seasonal fruit and veggies and if there are days that you just don’t have time or feel like eating, keep protein shakes on hand or protein powder so that you can make your own protein shakes. Sounds like you got this buddy. I wish you well 😉 -
Congratulations!! It will be here before you know it 👍

I’m using this one now...My stomach is very sensitive, I mix it with lactose free milk 4 oz an 8 oz of water and lots of ice to water it down and 2 tbsp of peanut butter powder. It’s not bad. If you get it from vitamin shoppe you can return for an exchange if you don’t like it.

OMG!! You look like a completely different person....You look GREAT, so inspiring WOWZA!!! 💪

Stomach stretched back out?
Wanda247 replied to Agarate24's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I'm not an advanced member but why are you going back to eat again after 1 hour? Try drinking water or taking a walk...the surgery is only a tool and we have to do our part...we are all here because we have a problem with FOOD either overeating/binge eating, stress eating, emotional eating or whatever the case may be. Of course eventually if you keep overeating and then throwing up and going back for more food you will indeed ruin your tool...I suggest getting help from a therapist because it seems like you are slipping back into bad habits...We HAVE to learn to "Eat to live and not Live to eat" We all want you to succeed but you have to do your part like you did in the beginning. You lost weight before so you can do it again. Get some help and take care of yourself. I wish you all the best and we are here for you. ((Hugs)) -
Let the lying begin . . .
Wanda247 replied to Orchids&Dragons's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
This is a great thread!! I’m experiencing the same, when people ask me how much more weight do I plan to lose I say “ I’ll know when I get there” 😂😂 that seems to stop them in their tracks and then they look dumbfounded...I knew questions like this would be coming as I started losing weight and I’ve thought about it long and hard about it so I don’t have a problem telling people that I’m not looking for unsolicited advice regarding my weight. One lady at work constantly has to check me out everyday, one day I was so cold at work so I was wrapped up in my throw for most of the day, she asked me to take my throw off so she could see how much more weight I had lost....lol just nuts. We all know when we are where we want to be in this journey!! You all inspire me 🥰 -
You’re not doing anything wrong...do a search on the site for stalls, it’s normal what you are going through right now. You’ve done well and lost a lot of weight in such a short time, congratulations!! keep following your plan, the stall will eventually break and you’ll start losing again. I wish you the best!!

Well said 😘 thank you!! -
You look great! Congratulations. I think if people just take the time to read the post from ones with success stories, the struggles, things not to do, things that will help like getting in protein and water, changing their diet to a healthy one etc. it could really benefit them instead of panicking and freaking out and quickly posting that they are failing so early on without giving their tool a chance and following their plan. I’ve learned so much from you all on here and one big thing is not to overreact and to do my part and my tool will work and it is working...but again I feel like a lot of people getting surgery unfortunately think that this is a magical procedure and once they have surgery then POOF the Weight will drop everyday without putting in the work and I also notice a lot of comparing which is never good...just my thoughts. Thanks for your positive post and showing that there is no need to freak out, you followed your plan and got excellent results 🤩 bottom line!!

Hi, did you get instructions from your nutrionist as to what kind of foods that you should be eating? If not please contact her because you really want to start this journey off on the right foot. You can also google "what to eat after gastric surgery" My team gave me a booklet and it had sample meal ideas, if you have that then follow that. You went though too much with the surgery alone to start eating badly this early on. Please get the help that you need so that you can be successful. You can do it if you put your mind to it. No pity parties okay...just get back on track. You got this ((Hugs))

Clock app. And move app
Wanda247 replied to hemingwayk's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That doesn't sound dumb at all...you are just trying to get the tools that you need to succeed. Good question! I was going to suggest Baritastic as well, I use myplate and started using it before I Knew about Baritastic which I think is better. Myplate is simple and I like it but it doesn't have timers and reminders. I wish you the best on your journey and keep on asking questions honey 😉 -
Way to go!! Congratulations...woooohooooo 👏😎

I also eat fish and shrimp...Can you tolerate seafood? These last few days chicken has not been going well with me, I'll lay off of it for a few days. -
Congrats on your weight loss and more to come!! 🙂

Anyone else ever feel like this?
Wanda247 replied to Starry*Night's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I'm the total opposite LOL. You just gotta get your confidence back, you're a very pretty woman so show off your hard work 😉 -
Sorry that you were in so much pain but you will start to feel better each day. It's great that you can tolerate water which is so important and so you won't get dehydrated because some people have a hard time after surgery with water. I wish you all the best and a speedy recovery. You got this!! 🙂

I am the stall queen...and have been since about 3 weeks after surgery, I'm so used to it now. Since surgery i have never lost weight like others do every day. Like @GreenTealael stated it will happen when it happens so don't get worked up, the weight will come off as long as you are doing your part. ((Hugs))

I have my surgery date set for 01/15/19. I'm excited and I can't wait to start a new chapter in my life.
