    Surgery April 2019

Hi there, congratulations on your upcoming surgery! If you do a search on "what to take to the hospital" you will find a lot of helpful post and experiences from folks that's had surgery. I wish you the best 🙂
  2. I took 2 1/2 weeks but wish I had taken longer, just for more rest. I went back on puree stage so that worked for me.

    Hospital Stay?

It really varies on the surgeon and how you’re progressing but average to me is 2 nights 3 days, that was my stay. For me I needed that. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I’m so happy that I did it 😉
  15. This is such a wonderful feeling...I’m ecstatic!! I haven’t been under 200 lbs since my son was born 23 years ago. Happy tears 🤣 The 29th has been 4 months post op for me, I’m enjoying my journey and taking one day at a time. Woo hooooo

Watching the scale go up is gonna suuuuuuck

It probably won't come back, I was sick a few times and lost weight and when I was better and back to my normal routine the weight that I lost never came back

    Day 5 post op

Hi, they sell a pill crusher at Walgreens or CVS, I crushed my meds for 2 weeks and I put it in sugar free chocolate pudding, I could not even taste the meds, In the beginning I bought chewable vitamins. It's hard at first but just do the best that you can and it will get better for you in a few weeks. Hang in there ladies ((hugs))
  19. Hi there...The surgeon I use does fills, I do recall seeing a woman there who had her surgery in Mexico waiting to get a fill. His contact information is on my profile. The office is in Lake Worth off of Congress Ave.

    Totally Zone Out

Sounds like me lol but I do remember going into that cold operating room then 123 I was out...I woke up in recovery and said nurse please I need some pain meds then I was out again and just remember the nurse helping me get into my bed in my room...I like it that way lol 😆
  22. It’s so true! It depends on the surgeon and I think what he/she is comfortable with...I was given a booklet at the beginning of my process but after surgery and my first post-op appointment which was six days after surgery I was told after 10 days I could start on soft foods based on how I was doing and tolerating shakes with no problem...we just have to go with what our team suggests for us...i was so happy to get off of shakes lol.

    Speaking for myself

I agree with you, this is a new lifestyle change and sometimes you will have some foods that are off plan and it is OKAY you’re human the key is just get back on track...my opinion is if you crave something, have a little in moderation, don’t buy a bunch to keep in the house, have a serving to satisfy you and keep it moving. No one is perfect and it’s ok to have a treat every now and then...you gotta live. You got this!! 😉
