How long did you take before going back to work?
Wanda247 replied to Queenbee34's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I took 2 1/2 weeks but wish I had taken longer, just for more rest. I went back on puree stage so that worked for me. -

It really varies on the surgeon and how you’re progressing but average to me is 2 nights 3 days, that was my stay. For me I needed that. Congratulations on your upcoming surgery. I’m so happy that I did it 😉

This is such a wonderful feeling...I’m ecstatic!! I haven’t been under 200 lbs since my son was born 23 years ago. Happy tears 🤣 The 29th has been 4 months post op for me, I’m enjoying my journey and taking one day at a time. Woo hooooo

It probably won't come back, I was sick a few times and lost weight and when I was better and back to my normal routine the weight that I lost never came back

Hi, they sell a pill crusher at Walgreens or CVS, I crushed my meds for 2 weeks and I put it in sugar free chocolate pudding, I could not even taste the meds, In the beginning I bought chewable vitamins. It's hard at first but just do the best that you can and it will get better for you in a few weeks. Hang in there ladies ((hugs))

It’s crazy the vast differences in plans.
Wanda247 replied to Chuck Clasik's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It’s so true! It depends on the surgeon and I think what he/she is comfortable with...I was given a booklet at the beginning of my process but after surgery and my first post-op appointment which was six days after surgery I was told after 10 days I could start on soft foods based on how I was doing and tolerating shakes with no problem...we just have to go with what our team suggests for us...i was so happy to get off of shakes lol. -
I agree with you, this is a new lifestyle change and sometimes you will have some foods that are off plan and it is OKAY you’re human the key is just get back on track...my opinion is if you crave something, have a little in moderation, don’t buy a bunch to keep in the house, have a serving to satisfy you and keep it moving. No one is perfect and it’s ok to have a treat every now and then...you gotta live. You got this!! 😉

We all have days of frustrations, not trusting the process or whatever it may be...let’s try and focus on the positive and be thankful for our wonderful tool. Enjoy your weekend everyone 🥰
