Good for you! I did the same thing a few months ago, but I went to Wendy's, that used to be my go stress eating food and it's across the street from my job...I felt crappy too and it was disgusting and I'm glad LOL -

TERRIFIED of gaining weight
Wanda247 replied to FancyChristine15's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I agree with everyone as well and I have been watching my 600 lb life every since it came on, I started out watching the biggest loser, it just always fascinated me how different (great) people looked after losing so much weight, that show actually motivated me to start exercising and going to the gym, but of course i would not stick to it, but it gave me hope that I could do it to...I don't think you're obsessed it's just that we can relate and it's real life stuff. I even watch re-runs girl lol. BUT we are NOT putting this weight back on ((hugs)) -

Good morning and happy Thursday. Do you ever eat something that's sooooo good, you take a portion that you think you can finish and you'e eating/savoring and enjoying it, got that happy feeling inside then BAM!! suddenly you stop in your tracks because your new tummy says that's the last bite for you!! 😄😋 The gastric sleeve has been such a blessing to me, it has really changed my life for the better...I hope it has been for you all too. Have a great day peeps PS: I do have my days from time to time where i may not the feel the best from trying different foods or I've upchucked but never any regrets.

I was taken off metformin and victoza immediately after surgery and my blood sugars are normal. I hardly eat carbs though.

Today is 6 months post op for me and I feel so good. I don’t look at this process as a diet, it’s my new lifestyle. I will have to watch my weight the rest of my life and I’m so ok with that...for me it’s all about the mindset. I had so many medical issues before surgery and type 2 diabetes was the one that helped me to make my decision to have the gastric sleeve surgery. I can’t be more pleased about my decision and have never had one regret, i was on 1500 mg of metformin and the highest dosage of victoza and my blood sugars were still out of control, now I am not on any meds for diabetes from the day that I got out of the hospital from surgery, my A1C went from 9.8 to 6.6 that was 3 months after surgery so it’s time for blood work again, the endocrinologist said that my A1C will go even lower as I lose more weight...YES I’ve experienced the dreaded feeling sick 🤢 from eating to fast, trying beef to early but it’s all a learning experience and we all have to get adjusted to our new tool. I still have more weight to lose and I am diligently working on it, I do cardio and no strength training yet. I want to encourage all of the newbies and pre-opers to hang in there, things do get better and better each day...I have so much energy, stamina and just overall better health. I wish you all the best on your journeys 💕🌺

Thank you!

Oh wow!! you look great!! Like a totally different person. Congratulations 🙌
-
Thank you buddy!! I feel really good to and thank you for all of your encouragement

Hi there...I did not have a pre-op diet either, I just could not have any food after 10:00 pm the night before surgery. Every team is different in their requirements. Just keep asking your doctor questions for your concerns, you said he has good reviews but is lacking in communication so trust him and ask all the questions that you need to. You will be just fine, follow your plan. Congratulations on your up coming surgery and I wish you all the best!

Thank you! Yes, The time is going by fast. You are doing great too...congratulations

I Survived Eating On A Two Week Cruise
Wanda247 replied to GradyCat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Congratulations!! Nice picture -
Calm down and just breath...you are doing just fine hunny bun. In the beginning people can usually eat 2-4 oz and sometimes not even that much. What you mentioned does not even sound like 2 oz of food. The most important thing for you to focus on right now is getting your protein and water/fluids in. We have all been there and freaked out early on...just continue following your plan that your team provided you. Everyone does not feel restriction on pureed but you WILL feel it once you start on solid foods. You are doing GREAT!!! You got this!! and congratulations on your surgery

Total Stall at 2 months post op
Wanda247 replied to D'Angouleme's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I totally understand your frustration...but you will start back losing, I have been stalling since week 4 after surgery, I don't even get upset anymore, I know that I am following the plan and logging my food so it eventually has to come off and it does. And although exercise is a bonus, lots of people do not exercise for one reason or the other and still lose weight very good. Don't beat yourself up, you are doing really good! Congratulations on the 35 lbs loss
