I had my husband bring me. He stayed for about an hour while I was prepped and such. I absolutely did not want him to have to sit and wait the six or so hours for me to wake up and be coherent. I wanted to be alone. He came with my kids after surgery and I was so out of it. They ended up going back home. I just felt I was better to be alone then to have visitors.

I am 8 days post op today! I had some regret starting on about day 5 when I my mind was telling me I wanted all these things to eat. I wasn’t hungry at all, it was a mind thing. I also feel like I should have been more aware of the post op restrictions. The two week liquid diet is awful. This is where the regret steps in. You just have to keep your mind strong and remember why you did this surgery to begin with. I had regret on one day and after I kept reminding myself I did this for me it got way better. (Liquid diet sucks) but you will get threw it. I have lost 20 pounds so far and I’m only 8 days post op. :)

I’m not going off of what my surgeon has asked me to follow. I’m too scared to. I just noticed some people’s plan was changed quicker than 14 days of liquids. I’ve got 7 days to go. Til I hit purée!

I’ve been on full liquids since day 1 at the hospital. I was sleeved on 5/21/18 and I feel like I’m getting bored. I need something different. Dr. Said I can have anything that can go through a straw til day 14. Day 14 is the start of puréed.

I was sleeved on the 21st as well.. I’m having a hard time with getting my liquids and protein. Sipping out of the small container is difficult to meet the required amount.

I had mine on the 21st as well. How are you doing with post op pain and liquids? I’m having a hard time with as much liquid they want me to have.

Hello everyone! I was Sleeved May 21st 2018. I only had one day of liquid diet before surgery. But my surgeon had me on a low carb/ low calorie diet 2 weeks before. With that I lost a total of 11 pounds before surgery. After surgery post op 4 days. I’m not going to lie the post op is very tricky and time consuming. It’s hard to try and get all the liquids and protein in that the dr wants. I’m so excited for this journey and that’s what I keep reminding myself.. I will tell you! The liquid diet after surgery is easier. You won’t be hungry at all!
