My surgery is on 6/22 and I just started feeling the same things. Surgery is scary, anesthesia is scary but the thought of living my life in my parents shoes (heart attacks, high blood pressure, arthritis, you name an side effect from obesity, they have it.) is scarier There are risks in everything and sometimes you have to take one to make things better

I work in a call center and started it on Thursday, honestly it's been easier at work than at home Spread them out evenly and drink it even if you aren't hungry because I've noticed that if I wait then the one 11oz shake doesn't put a dent in my hanger lol

Having to lose 14-20lbs before surgery

To add to the amazing advice everyone else has given, it was suggested to me (this applies to long term weight loss goals anyway) to view your calorie intake a week at a time. This way if you mess up today and need an extra protein shake or extra piece of chicken to curb your hunger then you can just off set it by cutting a tiny bit on another day Like all big changes we make in our life it can get really overwhelming. Drink lots of water, lots of protein and fresh veggies, track your calories and take it one day at a time, that's all anyone can expect of you -

My last appointment was May 23 and my surgery was scheduled for June 22nd before I left the office. Insurance took about 10 days to approve (I called every other day lol) and I promise it was the longest 10 days of my life 😆 -
Any June 2018 Sleevers in Here?!
Lkalfakis replied to BurpeeZombie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Good luck everyone 👏😊 Just got my tentative date today. June 22, start the pre-op diet June 7 and labs again on June 14. Should be fine as long as Aetna doesn’t screw it all up because I am using dated photos not documented weights for 2017. (2016 and 2018 are under control) The RN coordinator swears it’ll be fine and they do it all the time so I’m trusting her 😆 Also apparently my surgeon is retiring in July and is leaving his patients in the capable hands of his partners 🤷♀️ Wish I’d known that 3 months ago but I’m not starting this process over again lol Here’s to new beginnings ❤️❤️❤️
