    Smaller Clothes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I was loosing, I loved to get one new outfit a month, to help keep me on the right track. Now that I have had my first set of complications (and am gaining weight) I am in a size that I have no clothes for cause I gave them to my friends that were the same size as I was. But I am scheduled to have my band fixed (soon I hope) so I can get back to my 18's... (I started in a 34).

    Confused....

I have not recieved an answer yet, had an endoscopy Thursday last, and my doctor gets back this morning so I should hear either today or tomorrow. as for how I am dealing, just like before, now that I know there is a problem, I don't have to freak over the fact that I am gaining weight. I don't let my band slow me down, it keeps me going.

    Banded

Donita, To be honest, I didn't feel anything. I only noticed that something was wrong when i started to gain the weight, but thought that it was just due to stress of Finals and then vacation, but realized I should get it checked out. The one thing that I learned about insurance is that if they pay for the initial surgery they have to pay for the followup and what I like to call "up-keep" surgeries. I can't tell you if this is normal not to feel the pain, but I wasn't in any pain from the surgery either. I was up 1 hr after waking in recovery and walking around the hospital... that I felt was the important part, just start moving when you can it does 2 things, get you checked out in the morning faster, and puts your mindheart at ease on how world just adjusted. If I had to decide again, I would do the band all over, this to me is just a minor setback, and will be taken care of as soon as it can be scheduled. Hope this helps, and having this happen is really rare. I think I am just a little to hyperactive, overactive, and play too hard to notice anything much.

    Banded

Hi, I'm currently banded, I was banded about 3 years ago by Dr. Patterson in Portland, OR. I have lost a total of 230 pounds, but due to complications I have gained almost 80 of them back (band erroded into the stomach) :huh2: This is the only problem I have run into. I am 100% positive that I would still have done this if I had seen what was ahead. Right now I am waiting to hear from my doctor to see her view on my endoscopy from last week and schedule an appointment or something.

    Confused....

I am 3 years out of surger, I have lost 240 lbs (started at 444 lbs). I recently gained 80 lbs back in the last 2 months. I had an endoscopy completed last week, now I am just curious as to what is next now that I found that my band has erroded into my stomach... I didn't even notice till I started to see the weight gain. I know this isn't normal but I want to know if it is correctable? does this mean that I will need the other surgery rather than the band? :confused2:
