What is that

I may just do them anyways. I am tired all the time and it’s because I’m not getting anything.

They consider them a slider food

Okay so anyone else have a complete intolerance post op with any kind of meat. My pouch doesn’t like it and I don’t care for it either. I prefer veggies and that’s about it. I’m not really getting any protein in other than the drinks which my program wants me off of. I’m over a month post op right now.

Anyone else get extremely annoyed when they’ve had to get IV fluids and then weigh the next day and you’ve gained a few pounds?! I understand this happens (especially when you got 8 bags within 48 hours) but ugh it just frustrates me. The IV fluids weren’t for dehydration only - I had a stricture develop and had to stay overnights until the surgeon could get me in to fix it. I had finally gotten under 200 lbs too and now I’m back right at 200 lbs... Oh well I guess.. Now I’m just focusing on my fluids and sticking to my nutritionists advice.

Lol thank you! I’ll have to try again when I’m feeling brave and very close to a restroom. 😅

You're still in the "introduce new foods one at a time and see how it goes" stage. Try again in a few weeks and see if you can handle it. (Maybe bring it home so you have a bathroom handy ) Yeah I’ll definitely have to try that. I’ve been having a extremely bad time with introducing new foods. I got sick one time but I pretty much just dry heaved and made myself vomit because my chest pain was so bad. I threw up a few tiny bits but it was mainly foam. Is that what everyone calls foamies because I never want to experience that again. Since then it’s been hard for me to not be terrified of eating.

Honestly I didn’t think about that. Thank you! That very well may have been the issue. Hopefully later I can do those because it was the best thing I’ve had since surgery but it made me have some pretty rough issues!

No. I made sure of that when I ordered. They literally take a jar of pickle juice and dump it on there.

So just want to see if anyone had a problem with this but I LOVE pickles! They were my favorite snack before surgery and my NUT said I can’t have a actual pickle yet but a dill pickle snow cone is fine. Problem is it gave me some serious bathroom issues like Went down fine but 20 minutes later I was having “never trust a fart” issues. What the actual heck caused that because I seriously didn’t think that would be a issue and neither did my NUT. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m almost 4 weeks post op and on my second stage of soft foods (fish, deli meat, stuff like that). Sorry for the TMI but I’m seriously confused on what the deal was.

I’ve been trying to take Tylenol and I’m so thankful my job isn’t very demanding. It’s never a issue until I go to bend down or something. I start school back August 7th and I’m freaking out that I won’t be ready to go for my clinicals. I’m in nursing school so I’m needing to be ready lol. I asked my doctor about it but I don’t think he’s understanding what I’m saying because he said it was incision pain. I’ll just have to show him I guess at my next appointment.

I may have to rest for a few days. I went back to work a week and a half after surgery with no issues and bending hasn’t been a problem either. It’s just all of a sudden now it’s a problem. I definitely probably just over did it.

They said no physical limitations. Just said if it hurts stop. I didn’t hurt while cleaning or doing the laundry but it was afterwards. I sat down and went to get up and was hurting bad. I’m just not sure what the heck.

I had the most productive day so far since surgery. I’ve been behind on house work due to surgery so I got some stuff done today. I cleaned bathrooms, kitchen, bedroom, and did all the laundry that had piled up. I felt so good for being productive but now I’m having a severe burning/ pulling pain in my left lower abdomen and back. It feels like someone is stabbing me if I bend down or try to straighten up. It’s not incision pain because it’s below my incisions. I took 20mg of liquid pain meds from hospital it was hurting so bad and it is barely touching it. It only doesn’t hurt when I’m sitting in my recliner. I had this pain right after surgery for a little over a week and it’s way worse now. I can’t handle how bad it is. I think it’s nerve pain or something with the muscle but still. :’(

I’ll have to definitely keep that in mind!
