    Don’t know if I’m full.

That helps a lot! I’m mainly worried about yogurt lol it’s a slider food technically so idk how that’s going to work. I had tuna with a little bit of mayo which was on my approved list and I felt nothing like restriction so hopefully more dense food will cause that feeling

    Don’t know if I’m full.

It’s really hard because my NUT doesn’t give us protein goals or any goals except water. She told us no weighing or measuring just purely listen to your body and gave us possible “signals” of fullness. She said they do this because nobody’s stomach was the same size before or after surgery. So it makes it hard. We aren’t allowed any carbs yet so it’s mostly soft proteins.

    Don’t know if I’m full.

Thank you! I took a bit every minute and I was told to take pencil eraser size bites. I got like 4-5 bits total and got worried I was eating to much so I sat back and waited a bit. That’s when I hiccuped and got a bit of a headache so I figured maybe that was my signal to stop and did. It’s just strange not feeling hungry.

    Water?

I’ve tried hot/cold/in between and have issues the last two days with it all :/

    Water?

I go for a follow up today and I’ll be asking for sure! I’ll put on here what they say.

    Water?

It’s just strange because I’ve had no issues until the last 2 days or so.
  7. So I’ve been seeing a ton of posts about people feeling rough after surgery or hopeless and I just want to say it does get better! Be strong and hang in there because you are worth it. Your reasons for having this surgery are worth it. Your health is worth it. Ignore the haters because they love to see you fail. I was so down about my surgery and honestly I still question it but I am only 2 weeks out. Today was the best day yet though because I just weighed and I’m 5 pounds from the 100s! Take the small victories where you get them in the first few weeks and celebrate having a new life to look forward to! There may be bumps in the road but you are strong enough to get through it and thrive. I hope everyone who reads this has a great day tomorrow and everyday after. Just keep your head up if you are struggling because like I said, YOU ARE WORTH IT!
  8. I had my first wreck today on the way to work. 6 am and I smack a deer and air bag hit me straight in the stomach. Everything is okay but was terrified I screwed my stomach up.

    Wreck 1 week post op

Oh he has been absolutely amazing to me through it all. He’s my biggest supporter other than my mom.

    Wreck 1 week post op

I have a great support system and they said no bleed internally so they don’t know why I had blood. Follow up with surgeon in next few days so hope that goes good

    Wreck 1 week post op

I did but it was due to not sleeping well in my recliner. I started back in bed and was feeling much better. No pain meds either. Deer came out of nowhere and I didn’t see it until I hit it. Car is totaled and now I’m in ER for watery bloody stools... been a great day. 🤦🏻‍♀️

    Wreck 1 week post op

Yes they said just to make sure I go in if I start having pain
  15. Well today was my first day back to work and I pulled a 8 hour shift. Holy cow am I tired and my legs hurt so bad. Probably just still exhausted from surgery I guess.

    First day back

I hope both our days are better next shift lol. I felt like I’d walked 10,000 miles. Oh well though it’s good for me I guess lol.

    Question

I’m just curious as to when everyone started really seeing their weight drop? I’m 1 week post op and I’ve lost 10 lb so far.

    Question

Thank you so much and congratulations on how amazing you are doing! Keep up your hard work!

    Question

    Thank you!

    Question

I never said my weight wasn’t “really dropping”. I was asking when everyone else started to really notice just because I’m curious to see the differences throughout people who have had surgery. I wasn’t expecting to lose even the 10 honestly in the first week. I was expecting like maybe if I was lucky 5. So It was a surprise to see that much gone already and I’m happy about it. I don’t get why everyone’s commenting like I’m complaining because I’m not. It was simply a question because I’m curious.

    Question

I don’t weigh myself daily and it doesn’t really effect me to not see it drop. Like I said, I lost 10 lb so far and I just weighed today at my 1 week post op because I weigh weekly. It was a huge shock to see that I’d lost 10 lbs in one short week so I was extremely happy. But I definitely like your advice on not weighing every day. Thank you!
  22. mckenzie

    Question

Wow! Well congratulations on hitting 100 lbs! Also thank you for the response! I know everyone’s different on how fast they lose but I still like hearing about everyone’s experience with when they noticed.

    Question

I have patience. I’m just curious when everyone started noticing or seeing their numbers really drop. I’m happy with what I’ve lost so far 10 lb is great for 1 week out. But thanks.
  24. So I don’t really know exactly how to put this into how I’m feeling but I’m increasingly down in the dumps at 1 week post op RNY. I did all the research and felt prepared but now I see myself being very worried about complications and that my entire life is going to just suck from now on. I’m not worried about the food aspect of it. I’m more afraid of the what if’s that may happen down the road. I’m 21 and I am just now beginning life. I’m worried about if I will ever be able to have kids and if I will have a normal life with this procedure having been done. Don’t get me wrong I am extremely thankful to have had it, but I also hate how I feel right now. It’s mostly feelings of isolation because I haven’t been able to do anything or go anywhere since surgery. Hopefully things get better because I’m seriously struggling right now.

    Feeling down...

I may need to try that. Thank you!
