I got sleeved on 6/6. The first week i lost 12 pounds, which brought me to 230 pounds. But since then i haven’t lost a pound. If anything, I’ve been yo-yo ing between 230-233. I started the purée diet yesterday. I’m still having the protein shake for breakfast, a drinkable yogurt for lunch and for dinner yesterday i had be ricotta bake and tonight i had purée refried beans with a little sour cream. And i couldn’t even finish my protein shake this morning or my dinner tonight. Am i doing something wrong? I don’t understand.

So I was wondering if purée black beans, with salsa, sour cream, and refried beans would be too much for my stomach for dinner? I was telling my friends mom how i was looking forward to it, and she said that wasn’t good for me. Would it be better if i did without the refried beans?

No, everything is allowed by my surgeon. She’s gotten the sleeve done about 3 years ago so that’s why i wasn’t sure if she was correct or not.

So i got sleeved on 6/6. I was on liquids the first week, then my doctor cleared me for full liquids on 6/12 and I’m suppose to start purée food on Tuesday. But I’m absolutely craving that ricotta bake i keep hearing about, and i feel fine. Would it hurt to start purée food a few days early, or should i just hold out til Tuesday??

So on Monday i was approved for the sleeve! My date is June 6. I have to go for pre admission surgery testing on Thursday. I’m just curious as to what that would include. Blood work? If so, what are they testing for? EKG? Anything else? Thank you! And if you have the same surgery date as me, let me know!

So I’m new to this forum. For the last 4 months i have been doing all my pre operative clearances. I finally finished all of that and today had met with my surgeon one last time so they could submit everything to insurance. The woman at the office told me it would take 1-2 weeks to get a response but I’m so nervous because at one point during the 4 months i had gained 3 pounds (that was last month) but today i was 3 pounds below my start weight. So my start weight was 249 and my end weight is 246. Will the 252 that i was last month jeapordize my chances of getting approved? Also, how long did you wait before getting your decision from insurance?
