I just got my surgery date today and am stoked but also anxious. Everyone that I have talked to that is post-op says their only regret is not having the surgery sooner. I expressed concern that I would "miss" eating like I always have and the staff at the surgeon's office assure me that the results will never have me missing food. What are your thoughts? Are there any foods you have had to absolutely give up because they are in the way of reaching your goals? Are there any foods you've learned to enjoy by cooking them differently or incorporating them into your diet differently? So far, I have made the change of adding sugar free flavorings to water to replace soda and energy drinks. Not going to lie... I'm struggling without the caffeine... but the weight is coming off so I guess every little change makes a difference!
