Oh my, I had no idea before discovering this forum that there was so much support. I havent met another male who has had this surgery and I've learned that it makes no difference. I think we are all a bit nervous but seriously, for me that is greatly outweighed by the overwhelming feelings of excitement. My surgery is 5/21. Joy...5:30Am I need to be there. Somewhere along the line, I decided that my life needed an overhaul. 90% dedication to work(I work for that same fruit company that Forrest Gump invested in) and 10% dedication to everything else(including my body). I had an epiphany and Im flipping that distribution on its head. Work can take a back seat. Oh, I'll still show up and do what I need to do, but this surgery and the mindset that I've embraced will be my chance in life to create Java 2.0. Do you folks feel that as well? Im a noob to this forum, but I think I have found a home here. From what I've read here , everyone is a bit nervous, everyone is a bit tired of liquids:) But the common theme is that everyone seems to know in their hearts that they are becoming. Becoming confident, becoming healthy, becoming active, becoming themselves. Darn it, I'd like to kayak. I've decided to make it so. Cheers to all of you May Sleevers and best wishes on your journey we are sharing.
