Ok, I finally did it. On March 27th I was banded! After years of losing gaining losing gaining i finally did it. I was starting to feel like a human accordion! First off that 10day diet prior to surgery was so restrictive! I lost 10lbs from that alone! My doctor, Dr. Vittelo from Univeristy of Chicago said it was so he can visualize the liver better...not to torture me. I believe him he is a great guy. My experieince at the hospital was awesome.
Just 2.5 weeks after the surgery I feel great. No pain at all. I started off with liquids, puree etc., I know I should be careful but I ate a sandwich last night and had no pain, discomfort nothing. the only problem I have is that at the port site It is swollen the size of a lemon. My husband can not see it but I can feel it. Anyone else has the same experience? Is it because I started regular food early:crying:?
