In June 2018, I had a gastric sleeve. I went from 280 down to 197, then I started nursing school and Covid hit. I have gained back 43 pounds. I am having a revision due to severe GERD that has caused me to have severe esophagitis and unsuccessful weight loss. I recognize that I did not use my tool like I should have and am grateful for a 2nd chance to get rid of the excess weight while being able to hopefully let my esophagus heal.
I am hoping to use Bariatric Pal to find people who understand the difficulty and struggles that come along with being an overweight individual and also to share in the excitement and celebrate our successes as well, to help get ideas about recipes and how to use protein powders and get recipes. I intend to be successful for the rest of my life and can't do that alone. I also hope to be able to help others, as well.
