Hey, I had surgery the same day as you did. I weigh myself every morning because I have found from previous experience that if I don't weight myself regularly the weight can creep back on. I don't get stressed by weighing myself everyday. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Slight pain not near an incision
Briswife15 replied to ciarsdublin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes! I have the exact same situation going on! My surgery was the 27th of March. I feel a sharp pulling pain when I try to sleep on my side, so for 10 days I have been sleeping on my back. I have a bruise the size of a luncheon plate around my belly button. It is huge, dark, and gross!!! I think the pulling pain will just take time to go away. Best wishes! Coffee , 2 weeks post op ?
Briswife15 replied to Lizbethj's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon says we can start back up with coffee, but to be aware it might cause stomach upset. I've stuck with tea since my surgery 10 days ago. Might try coffee again after 3 weeks. Enjoy!! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Welcome, Mrs. Q. Look around this site and read lots of posts! Folks here have been through this, or are currently going through it, and have lots of good advice. Don't let the stories scare you. Some are great, some not so great, but those tending to need support post here. I had my first seminar in May 2018, and had my surgery last week. All is going very well. Best wishes! Just wanted to say I'm sorry you were denied. Hopefully the external review will reverse the decision. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I think you need Magnesium not potassium. Low magnesium leads to nighttime leg cramps. They make supplements. Hope you feel better soon!! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

You probably don't want to hear this, but I think you're doing fantastic! I had surgery the day after you. I gained 10 pounds of fluid in 3 days in the hospital, so the first 4 days at home I was working on losing the 10 pounds water weight. Then i started losing weight for real. So, since surgery I have lost 7 pounds. I think you're on the right track, but try and get more fluids down as it helps with weight loss. Keep up the hood work!! Going out to eat fir the first time
Briswife15 replied to gabybab's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Checking the menu ahead of time is a fantastic idea! Maybe order an appetizer. How far out from surgery are you? I'm already thinking of my first diner out, and think I'll have a single meatball with cheese and sauce, or grilled chicken. Good luck, and enjoy yourself! How much water to drink?
Briswife15 replied to StarFlower87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 9 days out from surgery and also take in 80 to 100 ounces of fluid, including the 3 protein shakes. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Maybe change the temperature of what you're drinking. I just had surgery 9 days ago and my new petite pouch prefers room temp or warm to really cold drinks. Good luck! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

HELP: Gaining Weight After Only 6 months from MGB
Briswife15 replied to MGBinIsrael's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi, MGBinIsrael, I'm jumping in here late to the discussion, but as others have noted, you are eating a tremendous amount of carbs for someone post WLS. I have found that eating carbs actually makes me hungry. When I cut down on carbs my hunger goes away. Maybe you should focus on dense protein, and some non starchy veggies, and give the fruit and oatmeal a break, and see if your hunger goes away. Best to you. What's your best advice for preparing yourself for surgery?
Briswife15 replied to Fazzini Bee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Internal pain, and gas pain. Pain when you move or twist. Not incision pain. I feel sooo much better 8 days out. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
What's your best advice for preparing yourself for surgery?
Briswife15 replied to Fazzini Bee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pain is not too bad now. I don't take anything during the day, but fond that at night I'm more sensitive to it, and I take one pain pill at bedtime. They kept up with the pain and nausea meds in the hospital so it wad ok then, too. I was in the hospital for 2 nights. During the time before the surgery I also bought things from Amazon like bariatric sized utensils, small, really small Tupperware type containers, a food scale. The time will go quickly and you'll soon be on the losers bench!! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
What's your best advice for preparing yourself for surgery?
Briswife15 replied to Fazzini Bee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congratulations on your surgery date! I'm a newbie in that I'm only 8 days post surgery, but I have been blessed to have had an easy week. I think a lot of it is your mental mind set. I read alot about gastric bypass and knew what I was getting myself into. Everyone here on this support forum is super helpful, so read a lot of posts. Practice chewing well, get used to protein shakes, but don't stock up because your taste changes after surgery. Good luck! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Congratulations on your surgery! Things will get better quickly. I'm 8 days out and things really got better around day 6. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
