Hi. My reflux is gone! Pain killers usually make me nauseous, but I took Dilauded in the hospital, and since they were also giving me Zofran every 6 hours for nausea anyway I was fine. I needed the Dilauded while I was in the hospital for 2 nights/3 days. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

6 consecutive months with PCP
Briswife15 replied to Danielleh's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to do 6 consecutive visits with a nutritionist Not a PCP. At my appointments we went thru my food diary, took my weight, talked about diet and exercise. I couldnt3miss one visit or I would hav to start over. Perhaps yours will be similar. You should check with your i insurance carrier if this is their requirement. Good luck on your journey. Yes! I have no cravings as of yet. I think of eating right now as a "prescription " and I'm just following my doctor's plan. I have no hunger, which surprised me. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Denied/Appealing Questions About Pre-Op Requirements
Briswife15 replied to BabettesFeast's topic in Insurance & Financing
Yes, keep going. Hopefully it will all work out, but it was your responsibility, not the doctor's, to confirm coverage. GreenTealael is right, there are lots of reasons for a denial. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
June 20 1st appt with weight loss surgeon
Briswife15 replied to jennifer47's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
GradyCat is right. There are so many factors, only you and your surgeon can determine which surgery is right for you. There are posts which discuss people's reasons for the surgery they chose. You may find them useful in starting a discussion with your surgeon. Either way, surgery is an awesome, life changing opportunity! Good luck! Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -

Tonight is my first appointment with the personal Trainer. Any tips, suggestions, advice? I feel kinda self conscious. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Scared I won't qualify!
Briswife15 replied to jennifer47's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've heard medicaid covers wls. You meet the standard requirements for most insurance carriers, which is a BMI of 40 with no comorbidities or a BMI of 35 with 2 comorbidities. I don't know about your specific situation, but really hope you qualify. It's life changing!! Good luck. Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
