    Just got approved for surgery.

I had to do a 6 month process before surgery. I met with doctor and dietician each month. They just want you to start practicing and work on habits that u need to learn before bypass. Such as driniking 30 min before u eat and 30 min after u eat. Np drinking from straws. Chewing your food well. Trust me PRACTICE! listen and learn. Best of luck.

    Gastroparesis and Band Removal

I felt my best after the band was removed. Till the pain from the damaged nerve kicked in. But that year without my band was amazing! This gastric bypass hasn't been so bad. Again its another tool. Hasnt been easy for since I am a food addict for sure. I didn't realize till this surgery lol best of luck to you. The best is yet to come!

    Post Op and still hungry

I feel your pain lol im 3 week post op and went through the same thing. It gets better when ur moved to soft foods such as eggs and anything u can squish with a fork. Although it was hard i bought these baby cheetopuff type deal that melt in ur mouth. I needed crunchand those were perfect!!!
  5. I bought so much stuff that I tried before surgery and my taste buds changed. I didnt like half the stuff I bought. Just make sure to buy things u cant go wrong with such as jellos and sugar free pops. I like others, didn't have problrms with gas or anything because I did eay more than expected in walking. Good luck on ur journey and message me if u have any questions.

    Gastroparesis and Band Removal

I had the same nightmare. Only my band eroded into my stomach which caused my stomach and lover to attach. I developed gastropersis as well. Let me just tell you...take it oit asap!!! I had to fight the insurance company and doctors fought with me. So I finally had it removed 1 year ago. Because of the gastropersis I had so much pain andthe only surgery to fix that was the gastric bypass. I am now 3 weeks post op and Thank the Lord I have no more pain!!!
  7. I am 2 weeks post op and i feel great. I had the lap band placed in 2011. Biggest mistake of my life. It eroded into my stomach which then my liver attached to my stomach. Had the band removed and didnt want anymore surgeries. Well I had a damaged nerve that caused me pain and nausea. The only out was the gastric bypass after other attempts of other sources before this surgery. Well here i am 2 weeks out and I think this is the winner.
