    Hi! So, I have a hormonal IUD (Mirena) and, hoo boy do I love it. Small pinch when they put it in, which sucks, but nothing more that what it feels like to get a shot. One of the best side effects of a hormonal IUD is that it can stop your period. I am lucky enough to have that side effect. I haven't had a period in 3 years. Anecdotally, I think it's a great choice and I have been VERY happy with mine.
