    nauseous

Hi! Today I am two weeks post-op. I did great the first week on liquids and was doing well on pureed until a couple of days ago. I have been nauseous for a couple days and yesterday I couldn't hold it in any longer and I vomited - although, there was nothing really there and there was just a lot of gagging and dry heaving. Today, I woke up feeling nauseous and I haven't eaten because I feel so crumby. I am getting plenty of water, gatorade and protein shake but there is a lack of protein. I'm almost scared to eat now that I have thrown up. I know everyone's bodies are different but I just want an overall opinion. Is this normal two weeks out? Will the nausea go away? Is this something I should call the dr. about or wait another day or two to see if it passes?

    Cigna Open Access

I have Cigna PPO I believe. I had to attend a seminar, have an initial consultation, general blood work, a manometry, endoscopy, ekg, meet with a physical therapist, meet with a nutritionist and do 3 months of weight management. I also had to attend an informational Q&A. I know for sure my insurance required the 3 months of observed weight management but the other things might have been a requirement for my surgeon. Cigna took about four weeks to approve me. I have really bad anxiety too! I have been going through this process for about eight months and the only way I have gotten through it is to take it one day at a time and one step at a time. It will all be worth it!
